It always confuses me when people say Stefan made Damon out to be a monster in S1. Like was he supposed to just lie and say he’s a great person when he wasn’t putting any effort to be lol

Like, unnecessarily when he was disturbing and killing people, he was being terrible. What was Stefan supposed to do? He had to call him out. only Damon is responsible for his actions and they should really stop dragging Stefan for that.

I’m confused about the 1864 flashbacks. Did Stefan talk to his dad about how there could be good vampires (and before that also talk to Damon about it and how he promised he wouldn’t tell) before he was compelled? Or was that afterwards? Since Katherine took his fear away and such

First, he asked Damon if they should tell their father, and then Damon made him promise that he wouldn’t tell. This conversation happened after Stefan was compelled. It wasn’t Stefan’s intention to spill about Katherine when he said there could be good vampires; he had no idea that his father would figure out Katherine from that one sentence. So he didn’t actually tell him, especially since he had already promised Damon that he wouldn’t. He didn’t really break that promise either it was their father who figured it out himself.

In S3 Stefan says to Elena that he had to spend 30 years pulling himself back together after Lexi found him in the aftermath of the 20s. Do you think this meant he was going on binges repeatedly or just struggling really bad with the bloodlust? I remember Klaus talking to Stefan and being like “I heard about you falling off the wagon for decades” but it could’ve just been rumors so idk

No, I guess Klaus may have been grouping together the aftermath of the 1864 binge and the 1912 binge, so collectively he was referring to them as “decades.” Because from 1922 onward, he stopped the binges, as he wrote in his diary, that Lexi started helping him stay away from human blood right from that time.

Delena fans will say they respect Stelena as a ship and that they aren’t insecure and then proceed to spread numerous false narratives about them and somehow get thousands of likes

Yep, I see that a lot. First they’re like, We don’t care, we respect them but then proceed to make the next 100 posts about how Stelena is boring and abusive. Like, you don’t have to pretend you don’t care and you respect them if you’re just going to spend all your time hating on them anyway.

Elena was so cute when she got jealous of Lexi. I like how Stefan was confused until he realized what she was talking about too lol

Ohh yes, she was looking so crazy for him, and especially Stefan looked quite amazed by it. She was jealous, and the way he was explaining that there was nothing romantic, even though they weren’t dating, they were both acting like they had just never broken up. The way they were with each other was just too adorable.

can we uh talk about Stelena bed chemistry??? I don’t think anyone in the show have that much clinging/ holding on in their morning after scenes in the bed.

There’s something so great about how they are with each other in bed.

Like, if I talk about the scene after their first time

I kind of love it because of how soothing they both look. There’s so much comfort between them, and there’s no discomfort at all. They’re so comfortable with each other the way Stefan is continuously caressing her hair while Elena is just giggling. They’re so lovely. It really shows how, right from the beginning, they were so into each other and so comfortable together.

Then there’s the morning scene.

The way Stefan just hugs her and kisses her, the way he’s saying I could get used to this meaning waking up in the morning with Elena in his arms. They really look so married here. And Elena is just so happy. They’re so close. Like, whenever they sleep together, they’re always hugging each other and staying really close, almost always in each other’s arms. There are other instances too,

like how Elena rests her head on Stefan’s hand while he embraces her. The way they sleep together is just so adorable.

And then the way Elena later just stops him from leaving like, yes, there are things they’re both supposed to do, but in that moment, nothing is more important to them than each other.

Then there’s this scene:

Another thing I love is that whenever they’re together in bed, if one of them wakes up, they just keep staring at the other. Both of them do it. Stefan’s eyes are closed, but he can still feel Elena’s eyes on him, and then they both start laughing and kiss.

They must be so giddy with each other because they can’t control their laughter and giggles and whatever they’re doing:

They must be so real and loud uncontrollable with each other even when they supposed to be in control but they just can’t like Even Jenna heard them, just makes me think they must have been so happy and playful with each other.

And the fact that I love the most about their bed scenes is that they’re not just about kissing or making out. They’re doing all these other things laughing, hugging, teasing, talking. That, to me, is the biggest form of intimacy. They actually talk about life, they laugh together, and they kiss too. They do everything. They’re perfect for that reason to me.

We were robbed of NH Stefan and NH Elena hanging out together tbh

Ohh yes, they would have nailed it if they had both been without humanity. It would’ve been so interesting because every time one of them had their humanity off, the other was there to bring it back. But with both of them without humanity, it would’ve been so interesting to see what they would’ve done.

Out of curiosity do you think Stefan’s decision to hand over the town to the heretics in S7 was the correct choice? I saw someone say it was selfish but I don’t see how lol

No, it wasn’t selfish. the heretics already established that would destroy things, so I guess it was just what Stefan thought was the right thing to do. By giving them the town, at least he could save people from getting killed which anyway would have happened if he hadn’t given it to them. He was basically just buying them some time to survive by giving the Heretics what they wanted.

I just saw a Damon stan say that Stefan should be grateful for all the times Damon defended him to Elena 🤮 I will never fall for the propaganda that he was a good brother. I hate how people constantly hate on Caroline for telling Stefan that Elena slept with Damon but there’s crickets for Damon telling everyone that Stefan slept with Rebekah, Katherine, and Caroline even when Stefan asked him not to.

First He barely defended Stefan in any meaningful way, and that actually never carried any weight. Most of the time, he was just looking out for himself like you said when he repeatedly brought up those women, even though who Stefan was with was none of his business.

I hate how people ignore the parallel of Stefan being focused on getting revenge on Klaus in S3 and Elena wanting to get revenge on Katherine in S4 once they get their humanity back

Yes, which is why Elena was also much more similar to Stefan as a vampire because of how similar her reaction was after her humanity on.

Every time I think about Walt killing those Gus men to save Jesse in Half Measures, it’s still so freaking crazy to me. Because this season literally establishes how much Walt has started feeling so close to his meth business. It’s not just about survival anymore; it has become his purpose, and he isn’t ready to endanger it for anybody. He isn’t even willing to take a chance to do the right thing when Jesse proposes killing the men who are grooming this young kids. He goes, Nah, we’re not doing that.

But the moment he sees on the TV that this kid has been killed, his first thought is that Jesse must have left by now. And he doesn’t think twice. He doesn’t stop to consider Gus, the consequences, his business, or even his own life. He grabs his keys and drives straight there.

He knowingly endangers the one thing he cares about most at this point. He risks his business, his life, and his entire position with Gus to save Jesse. And that’s what makes it so crazy to me: there isn’t even a moment of Should I do this? There’s no internal debate, no calculation of whether Jesse is worth the risk. He just sees what’s happening and acts.

Because, Walt could have let Jesse die at the hands of Gus’ men. Mike had already warned him not to risk everything over one junkie that they take one step and it’s over for all of them. But Mike’s words had absolutely no weight in Walt’s orbit when it came to Jesse this moment. Because the moment Jesse’s life is threatened, Walt’s supposed “purpose” suddenly becomes secondary.

And this is why I don’t think what Walt has for Jesse can be reduced to manipulation or control. Those things absolutely exist in their relationship but Half Measures is such a testament to the other side of it the part of Walt’s attachment to Jesse that is completely irrational, instinctive, and beyond anything he can define and the part of Walt that is so fanatical about Jesse which is the most insane thing about their relationship.

Why do people claim Damon was abused by Katherine? Dude literally said she never had to compel him to do anything

Yes, I mean, he knew everything about her. He even knew she had feelings for Stefan like, everything was out in the open. He fed from her because it was his decision. He was with her with his consent and full consciousness. There’s no way Katherine abused him.

Still rewatching S8 and I’m kind of confused. There’s a scene where Damon kills some evil people for Cade and then Stefan kills the other people as well because he says he needs to be in control or something? I don’t get it cause later he acts all hurt when he has to kill sirened humans that are attacking him. Someone also pointed out that Damon without his humanity and being controlled by Sybil still went to get evil people but tbh I don’t think Damon ever changed. In S7 when him and Stefan think Elena died, Damon goes on a killing spree. Meanwhile Stefan cries, punches his car seat, and goes to kill Julian.

He definitely didn’t change. Like, it doesn’t matter if he was able to go after evil people Damon is Damon, with his humanity or without it maybe he was just able to manage to go after evil people but Stefan, as usual, was doing what was required as part of that, and I can’t remember the exact line you mentioned like he was way too far off-limits this time. And when he killed those sirened humans it was I guess to see if he can do that without killing too many that’s may be what he meant with control but it’s Stefan so it would have affected him.

Damon didn’t change that same season. He had killed Tyler; even if he did that under Sybil’s control, it’s still a fact that he didn’t feel much over what he did because he does things like that casually, for nothing, when it isn’t even remotely necessary. So, of course, he didn’t change. In S7, it’s also right there how he throws a killing party of innocent people because he can’t control his emotions. He was all the same.

Is there any proof Damon had his humanity on in S1? Some Damon fangirl was arguing that he didn’t lol and said there’s proof Damon didn’t have it on (which was because he said it???)

He has it on. They tried to retcon it in S4 to justify him killing Lexi, but if his humanity was actually off, how was it possible for him to be searching for Katherine, being in love with her, and, as they tell us, falling in love with Elena too? They even made him grieve, cry and lament over Katherine when she wasn’t in the tomb. You don’t do any of that if your humanity is off. The entire point is that you don’t feel emotions you don’t cry, grieve, love, or do any of those things with your humanity off but Damon did all that. So, for sure, his humanity was on.

Maturing is realizing Damon is responsible for 90% of the bad things that happened in TVD lol

Lol that’s true. I mean, there are other people too responsible, but yes, most of the misery in people’s lives was initiated by him.

Why do people act like Stefan forced the animal blood diet on Elena? She wanted to do it. I also saw someone say it never worked for anyone (him, Caroline, Elena, Alaric)

For Stefan the animal blood worked for a long period, and it would have worked for Elena too if Damon’s stupid sire bond hadn’t told her that, as a vampire, she needed human blood. It would have worked for her. And he didn’t force her because Elena didn’t want to hurt anybody. It was her choice. and as for Caroline, she was always okay with handling human blood and had control; she just didn’t feel the need to resort to it.
