Feeling Good
So it’s been about two weeks since I went gluten free and (mostly 🤷🏻♀️) dairy free. I’ve been meal prepping and trying to workout at least a couple times a week. Today I weighed myself and I’ve lost 3.7 lbs in a week. I’m feeling really good. My acne has been much more manageable which might be bc of the gluten, can’t tell for certain yet.
I even had my period at the beginning of this week and usually I gain anywhere from 2-5+ lbs during my period. But other than <1 lb fluctuations, I didn’t go up really at all.
I’m hoping the weight loss isn’t just bloat from gluten, dairy, and sodium. But I guess I’ll find out in the next few weeks.
Pottermore Running Club [9 3/4 km] Back to Hogwarts Run. Complete and sweaty. Now to drink a shake and take an ice bath.
When you look like you just got stormed on but you’re just a sweaty person in the sauna post workout.
The most beautiful weather and my first run in a while 😬. Oh well. Past is in the past. Hakuna matata and all that. Time to move forward and get serious.
Had the best time performing with Brendon Urie on The Voice finale - thank you to the fans there for being so welcoming! And a huge congratulations to Maelyn!! Meeting you made my day 🥰

I’m loving the aesthetic of this single!! So fun and sparkly
Did some meal prepping tonight after the gym. Chicken burrito bowls. I cooked the chicken in a pan for a few minutes with some olive oil and Trader Joe’s chili lime seasoning, and stuck them in the oven. Added rice, black beans, salsa, avocado, and lime and you’ve got a yummy burrito bowl.
According the MyFitnessPal:
Cal: 478
Carbs: 65.5 g
Protein: 25.8 g
Fat: 12.1 g
Per bowl.
I also got my new food scale and new protein powder in the mail. The food scale came in super handy to meal prep and I’ll let you know how I feel about the protein powder. It’s a gluten free Dutch chocolate powder that I mix with unsweetened coconut milk.
Lunch from yesterday. Can you tell that carrots are my favorite. It’s also vegetarian, purely because I wasn’t feeling any meat. Terra chips are incredible and have a bunch of different root vegetables. The mixed veggies are a steam pack and then I added roasted zucchini. I also had to eat the yogurt with a fork bc I forgot a spoon 😂
I really wanted to make waffles this slightly snowy Saturday morning but I couldn’t find my waffle maker so healthy breakfast it is. Probably for the best. And I compromised by putting a bunch of cheese in the omelette.
Started the #kcsweet16 yesterday with the Westport St. Patrick’s Day 4 mile run. Honestly, I walked 90% of this race, but I’m pretty happy with it. My last race in September ended with a back injury that put me in physical therapy for 3 months so I was just super happy to get out there. It helped that the weather was beautiful, the course was pretty easy, and my amazing friends came along for the ride.
Had this for breakfast the other day and I want more. Spinach and mushroom omelette, raspberries, sausage, and a few mushrooms I couldn’t fit in the omelette.
I know it’s not the most drastic difference in the world but I like to think i’m getting there! Plus I love spammin yall with my before and afters 💁🏼♀️

Looking good, girl!!
Finally a motivation video without fitness models, but with ordinary girls!
I love this!!!!
HELL YES
I LOVE THIS SO MUCH
Not gonna lie, if this was the kinda of representation I saw growing up, I would of not have thought that I needed to already be a good weight and healthy to partispitate in physical activity.
Feeling down
So I wanted to share this little journal-type entry that I wrote on my phone from last weekend in Sedona, AZ. The entry is from Saturday and I think it really shows how mentality is so important. I felt really down on myself when I was having to deal with major elevation and climate change. So make sure when you start to get frustrated or upset, evaluate where you are and be realistic. Are you doing your best? Are you being too hard on yourself? And most importantly, don’t waste your emotions being upset with something you can’t change.
Starting the week right
Honestly, starting the week well makes me feel like I’m set up for success for the rest of the week. I woke up on Sunday at 6 am and went for a 2 mile run. And then this morning, I ate a good breakfast and packed a super clean lunch. And I left for work at a good time so I ddjust by feel stressed all the way there.

Busy and Tired
This week has been super busy. I started the summer hours of my job and it means I have to get up before 7 am, so I am exhausted while I adjust. On Sunday, I ran 3 miles in the morning and then did 5 miles on the bike with my sister that afternoon. But since then, I haven’t run at all.
Does anyone have tips for getting in exercise when you’re so busy?
