Sincerity Underground is a blogging network. User-made webrings like this were a common feature of early tumblr that helped people discover more blogs they connect with. SUG was created from a wish to bring this type of community building operation back into the present.
Last week I made a post saying that we should make a blogging network then right after I posted it I was like hmm ykw? i'm just gonna do it. I'll just do it! the spur to take action was impulsive but the idea of it is something i've wanted to create for years now just didn't have the courage yet. I envisioned it specifically to center around blogs that have an other-worldly feel to them. Perhaps at some point I will devise an application process (if people want it) but I need to figure out what that would look like since I haven't been able to find any examples of old blogging networks from early tumblr.
