New project bag! And the project that I have inside of him.
Fishy friend made using the Swim Along Crossbody pattern that I modified to be a project bag - namely placing a handle at the mouth instead of a strap and adding a lining.

Girl a Mama behind you
In my sewing era rn. Spent two full days on this project. Attached all the appliqués by hand with a needle tuck and then a blanket stitch, quilted the front and back panels on my machine, machine stitched some stars onto the bottom, overall sweat and blood but no tears!!
My overall inspo was vintage baby quilts and patches! I love how colorful this project is. All the fabric is Fable wovens with interfacing and one additional layer of fabric for the quilted areas. Fun fact, I did appliqué first then quilting on one panel and the opposite on the other.
Might go back and do some top stitching on the bottom but I’m very happy with it as is. Love my new bag. Animal appliqués are McCall’s #1069 from the ‘40s.
