Kanye West’s condition has gone from bad to “way worse”, according to TMZ. The 39-year-old rapper was hospitalised in handcuffs earlier this week after having an emotional breakdown while working out with his personal trailer in LA. Now TMZ claims his problems are more serious than the reported “sleep deprivation and dehydration”. According to the website, “his hospitalisation is far from over”. in fact, his condition is reportedly so severe that Kanye he might be due an insurance payout of AU$41 million for the 21 concerts of his Saint Pablo tour that he cancelled before he was hospitalised. Although his wife Kim Kardashian’s recent Paris robbery ordeal contributed to Kanye’s recent woes, it is said that his emotional issues go further back. “It’s not just the big things; it’s smaller, quieter things, internal things,” a source told People magazine. “You might think that it’s about Kim’s robbery, and while that didn’t help, that’s not what’s going on here. He’s dealing with a lot more subtle issues.” They would include the death of Kanye’s mum, Donda West, who passed away at the age of 58 in November 2007. “His mother died in November, so this time of year always brings him a lot of pain,” the People insider continued. “He keeps that pain internalized, but sometimes will talk about how hard this time of year is for him. He works through the pain every November.” Kim rushed to Kanye’s side after she received news of his hospitalisation. The 36-year-old reality star cancelled an appearance at a New York City event – her first since the robbery in Paris – to support her husband in LA. LIE. LIE. LIE. (By lie, I mean embellish) I’m going to tell you why. I lied on my resume to get the job that made it so I didn’t have to embellish anymore. By embellish I mean make your positions seem more important than they are. Chances are you’re not getting paid enough for what you do anyhow. The system is definitely going to play you so you gotta make a move too. 

Use businesses that are no longer in business (Finesse #1) Everyone has those establishments in their cities that went out of business; Fridays, hospitals, dennys, etc. USE THEM. I’m a HR Manager, I’m not going to dig for a reference from a closed business. Not in this lifetime.

Use your friends who are employed in corporate America as references. (Finesse #2) List them as former supervisors or managers. Pick your friends with professional phone voices who can gas you up in a corporate manner.

Research the pay rate for the company, city and position. (Finesse #3) They may be offering you 25K to be a store manager when in reality store managers in your exact city (or their employment averages) are making 35K. Do not be afraid to challenge a salary. It shows that you also did your homework on the position and the company.

Yes! Definitely use a PDF. I say this because, just in case you overlook any typos or errors, they won’t be as obvious. When recruiters open resumes in Word, here come all them damn squiggly red lines 🙄

Y'all are honestly overthinking this. You either take the tried and proven advice or you don’t and continue to make minimum wage at a job that should be paying you $16/hr.

Adulting is a finesse. If you don’t learn how to make things work for your advantage, you will not survive in this world or live the way you want to.

& one more time, BACKGROUND CHECKS ARE FOR CRIMINAL HISTORY! The only thing I would tell you to never lie about. You can go to any staffing agency and they would tell you to hype up your resume.

You can hype up your resume all you want to, but jazzing yourself too much and then going in for the interview can be two different things. Being a cashier doesn’t make you a customer service manager, because when they check your references and hear “(s)he was a cashier,” they will say that you lied on your resume and won’t want to hire you. Specifically state what you were, and don’t jazz up your position, jazz up what you did. If you counted your till, that’s cash count and reconciliation. You have point-of sale cash handling and customer service experience. If you took things back and put them on the shelves, that’s inventory reconciliation.

Jazzing your position makes you look like a liar; which is not good for an employer. And listing a closed business may get you to an interview, but if they ask about it, what can you say? Interviewers expect answers to come from previous experiences, and if you’re applying for an position and you have a closed, never-worked-at, location and they ask about it, you’re stuck not knowing anything.

Honestly, I love that you emphasized some great points, but I’ve interviewed people and watch certain things. I’ve expected to hear what’s on the resume, and when I don’t, I believe things are false. If you can’t elaborate on it, it shouldn’t be there.

I got fired from the last 3 jobs I was at, but got hired yesterday at a job. In addition to what she said about having your references be folks you know, never talk about why you left. Say so much good shit about the job & how it will work at this new position, they’ll never worry about why you aren’t there cause they too busy plotting to snatch you up. That’s when those references come in to play to back up EVERYTHING & more that you said. Also, don’t use an ugly resume. Nobody likes ugly resume templates anymore. Jobs are so enthralled by my unique resume template that took me fucking forever to create that they’re impressed with my creativity & ability to stand out.

Too many jobs make you look unstable. Not enough make you look inexperienced. Pick 3-4 with really dominating roles and responsibilities. You can mix and match on several resumes between your jobs for different positions and industries! Keep em straight though! That’s what I do 😊
