Help a Choom & her family out...

Hi everyone... with heavy heart i write this post asking for help. I'm not really good at these things so...

A month or so ago, my husband and his whole office were unexpectedly laid off, due to the hit on the economy, they couldn't stay open. That hit to the economy also impacted us, as he worked a sale based commission and with very little people buying currently, it was leaving us already struggling to keep our heads above water, so when the lay off happened, we were truly unprepared.

Even if you are not able to help, please share, anything helps.

I'm holding your shoulders gently and comfortingly when I say this.

Real friends do not:

Isolate you from your other friends

Judge you for who you're friends with (y'know unless you're in like actual danger)

Make you feel bad or like you have to justify who you're friends with

Bully you for engaging with a hobby in the way you want including blatant shitting on you or saying snide, disparaging comments.

Dismiss your feelings

Those aren't friends. They're bullies and mean girls stuck in high school and you deserve better.

Being in a community or talking with your fandom friends should never make you feel like:

You're having to compete with people in the community or your own mutual friends for attention or affection or whatever

You have to perform a certain way in order to fit in

You have to change your style or vp or writing or posting or however you're engaging in your hobby in order to fit in and be liked

If you're currently in a community or friend group that makes you feel like this STOP and get the fuck out. You will find true friends elsewhere.

Also, if your friends are pressuring you to shrink your social circle or change how you hang out with your friends that's abuse! That's classic abuse! Isolating you from your loved ones is abuse!

Trust me, your real friends are out there. You don't need to stay in a shitty space with shitty people because you think there isn't anything better out there.
