You think we don't know that? You realize, for many of us, our physical conditions are worsened by our mental conditions? That being mentally ill/neurodivergent on top of being physically disabled is one hell of a roller coaster ride from hell and back again? That becoming physically disabled after years of living with mental disabilities is just about the cruelest joke the universe can play on us?

Has it never occurred to you that it goes the other way, too? That physical illnesses also manifest mentally? Do you know how many physically disabled/chronically ill people with no prior histories of mental illnesses end up with anxiety, depression, PTSD, mood disorders, and to name a few more, after becoming disabled/ill?

As of November 9th 2022, the CDC is telling anyone with a weakened immune system, over 65, or who is pregnant to not eat any meat or cheese from deli counters anywhere in the country.

If you are in any of these groups, do not eat meat or cheese from any deli counter, unless it is reheated to an internal temperature of 165°F or until steaming hot.

There have been 16 illnesses traced so far, occurring over a timespan beginning in September 2021 - 13 hospitalizations, 1 death. Illnesses have been clustered around New York State but have also appeared in California and Illinois. As always the true number of illnesses is certainly much larger.

You are allowed to exist, to have needs, to have desires and to speak your truth, and you don’t owe anybody anything for the right to do that.

Disability rights means nothing without body neutrality, and I mean this 100%. Plenty of disabled people look different, have scars and are missing limbs, have poorly maintained hair and teeth, and calling yourself a disability rights activist but staring at people who "look/act weird" cannot be ok.
