I’m so sorry
No offense but if one of your friends is excited about something & you make them feel stupid 4 being excited about it, you’re the worst type of person.Â
Roses are red. Poems are hard. This is my gun. Get in the car.

Someone: Should I read Umineko? Me:
What are some ways people show vidism? Or how could they work on not being vidist (idk if that's how you'd say that?)
When we tell you to not guide us, don’t. Don’t immediately guide us assuming we need it when are parked waiting to cross street.
Telling us “See that there?” when obviously we can’t.Â
Don’t move things around the house or around us… unless you tell us and we give you permission to. I have gotten this done so many times. When I have that book there, it’s there  for a REASON. I put it there, I know it’s there. When we’re sitting and we have a cup on the table… don’t move it thinking you’re being funny… We go by feels/touch. I remember my family would purposely move the side table or object in a different location that didn’t know about it advance… and I ran into it, they laughed. Yeah it was funny now… but then it is absolutely NOT. LET US KNOW WHERE / WHEN YOU MOVED IT!
Don’t take away our canes/mobility aids/touch our guide dogs. Dear god, I nearly had people touch my cane and I am like DO NOT. Unless I ask you to or give you permission.
Don’t compare ones vision loss to another. There are different degrees of blindness. Some can’t see nothing, some see little, some see tunnel, some see out of one eye, some see only light/shadows… Don’t say “Oh but X person can see out of one eye and they can do that. Why can’t you?”
When we ASK for a guide… don’t haul us around like we’re some ratty doll. If we hold your elbow, or shoulder… it’s our way of following you. I usually do give instructions on how someone can guide me (especially at night for me) before going ahead. Don’t drag us around. Give us warning (if we don’t have our cane in use at the time) where the bump, steep, dent, is there. Move us around objects don’t let us walk right to it. WE CAN’T SEE IT!
Don’t laugh when we spill our drink, search for that object that is 2 inches away from us and we’re like 5 inches away. don’t make a big deal about it…or scene. We have our (as some say) “Blind flails” searching in circles. Unless we literally ask you for help, help us and give us the thing or whatever it is. I have ran into poles so many times I cannot see it… yes I’m a funny person about myself… but if you see me bump into it, don’t laugh about it. It happens that I bump into things, a lot. But I get over it.
Don’t make it a big deed of the day that you helped a blind person. Woop de fucking do. We normal people, treat us like that.
People complaining about my computer setting. Well, I can’t see small print, deal with it. How I write? Is how I write. So what if i write big? That’s how i see things. Let it be.Â
I can go on. These are even from my own personal experiences. I have so many more.
I just googled some things “Things that Annoy Blind people” there’s a good list I found (totally can related to half of them!) Hope that helps a bit.
