It kinda feels silly to feel so seen by a character that isn't even canonically AroAce.

Despite that, I never felt a greater comfort and acceptance than in this place.

Bonus images. Any time I need some comfort i just draw grace in this very specific outfit. Its a mix of 2 of my favorit movie grace outfits. The one where he asks stratt to continue working on the astrophage, he wears a blue shirt, his white cardigan, and slightly darker jeans. The 2nd outfit (and my personal favorit) is before the lab explodes, he's got his yellow rain coat, his white cardigan, a pair of dark blue pants and a pair of dark blue rain boots.

I know I sound and look delulu but I just can't describe the kind of comfort it gives me hehe.

I have seen several renditions of rocky babies but these three have been on my mind 24/7 since I first saw them ;-;

The first born, Grace. Super laid back and chill. Has Rocky’s turquoise highlights

Earth, the middle child. I gave them their little nemo leg but it does not touch the ground all the way. I think fellow butterfingers Ryland would be charmed by their clumsiness.

Pebble. So glamorous. So charming. The baby. Had to have bronze highlights to emphasize the elegance.

Twice, Ryland Grace is faced with the same pivotal decision: to save himself, or to save an entire planet.

The first time:

He is surrounded by white (bravery) and is wearing yellow (cowardice)

The world is telling him to be brave, but he can’t, not yet, because he is a coward.

He has lost his identity and autonomy

The decision is already made (he must die)

He is all alone (he doesn’t have the bravery gene)

The second time:

He is surrounded by yellow (cowardice) and is wearing white (bravery)

He is in the middle of his namesake: a field of rye. The field is the yellow of cowardice; that is who he was, but he can’t be that, not anymore, because he is brave.

You know who you are. You’ll do great.

The decision is already made (Rocky must live)

Rocky’s ball is beside him (he has found someone to be brave for)
