Okay, so:

Solas had a powerful red lyrium-imbued weapon stolen from Kirkwall - could it be Meredith’s sword? Maybe Samson’s was a fake? I doubt it’s the red idol, since the elven spy says they “traded it for information”. It must be something powerful, yes, but something that Solas doesn’t really need and that he just used as coin to get what he really wanted.

He traded a red lyrium-imbued weapon for information with House Danarius, the house to which Fenris’ old master belonged. It seems so out of character for Solas, treating red lyrium like it’s nothing serious, giving it to a cruel magister family, and further spreading it into the world ;_; But I guess he really won’t stop at anything, now, to reach his objectives - after all, even if he started to love modern Thedas, it’s still a version of his world he feels he must destroy, so more red lyrium in the wrong hands won’t really change things.

What kind of information did he get from House Danarius? We know from WoT2 that Danarius found the spell to carve lyrium into people’s bodies in an ancient elven book - what he used on Fenris was actually an elven ritual/spell he slightly changed for his purposes. Is Solas trying to recover that kind of knowledge?

After having only been playing dragon age the past few months, I decided to go back to Skyrim for a little while. Its been nice to just chill in a big open world game again, but I noticed something that I have to bring to other peoples attention; im sure Im not the only person to notice this either.

So apparently like, half the imperial soldiers are voiced by Gideon Emery (Fenris' voice actor), and now I can't stop hearing it every time I pass by one of them. Now I kinda wanna do a playthrough of Skyrim as my Hawke, just for the fun of it.

Anders and Fenris could’ve been commentary about lateral oppression/violence.

It really burns me up that Fenris and Anders could’ve argued, come to an impasse, realized they weren’t really angry with each other and resolved to do something about corruption at the highest levels together.

But no. Anders had to be a ‘terrorist’ and Fenris had to be just close-minded enough to hate all mages that weren’t Hawke and Bethany.

Also Fenris and Merrill and Anders and Merrill.

Whether they liked the blood magic or not, they could’ve at least come to an understanding that she only ever used the blood of enemies or herself– and that her aims were noble and just focused on like. Being supportive but also checking her ambition and making sure she didn’t grasp for too much– which would still have been condescending but at least then they’d be doing it to look out for her instead of treating her like a child they’d just be worried for their friend.

ya DA2 is really bad written except Varric. There's a theory of Ander is being used by old god and Coryphues. For Fenris, I hate that every prediction/sense/ assumption of him turn out being correct. My hawke can't show Fenris a good mage and the world state in DA3 is so fuck up.
