Oh my God... that moment still haunts me to this day. I was sitting beside my husband Ahmed in the hospital bed, holding his hand and praying to God to ease his pain, when suddenly he lost consciousness right before my eyes. I completely broke down, crying and begging God to save him.
I cry every day from the weight of this heartbreak. I stand beside my husband with nothing but prayer, watching his pain and feeling my heart shatter because I cannot do more to save him. I try to stay strong for my little girl, but there are moments when I weaken as I imagine her life without her father. All I want is a chance to save Ahmed, a chance for him to remain a father to our daughter and a husband to me, and for us to see a better day after all this pain.
The doctor told me that Ahmedās condition is critical, that the cancer is spreading rapidly through his body, and that his only hope for treatment is to get him out of Gaza as soon as possible to receive urgent medical care. Since that moment, I have been living in constant fear, terrified that I may lose my husband at any moment.
Getting Ahmed out of Gaza for treatment is extremely costly, and we need to raise more than $25,000 to cover the urgent medical expenses and give him the chance he desperately needs. Every moment matters, and we are racing against time to save his life.
Our little daughter cries every day, calling for her father. She does not understand what cancer means, but she feels his pain and clings to him with all her strength. All she wants is for her father to stay by her side, and for this war and this illness not to take him away from her.
As for me, I am suffering from severe malnutrition because of the famine and the war. My body has become weak, but I keep holding myself together in front of my daughter so she does not feel the full extent of the pain we carry inside.
I say this from the depths of my heart: I will never forget everyone who read my words, saw my familyās suffering, and chose to turn away without even sharing our story. A simple share may help our voice reach someone who can save Ahmedās life.

My friend Fadel grew up in northern Gaza. Two years ago, the zionist occupation bombed his house while he was inside. He had to be brought to a hospital in southern Gaza because the hospitals in the north had completely collapsed. He has been homeless and raising funds for surgery to remove the shrapnel from his body since then. Now the occupation is laying groundwork for three settlements in northern Gaza. We often think about genocide on the level of populations, but I want you to understand genocide through the lens of a single person. The occupation has been bombing refugee camps all week and these attacks have been so close to Fadel that debris from shelling have fallen on his family's tent. 19-year-old Khalil Al Habil's liver and kidneys are failing. Shrapnel damage from the bombardment that killed his baby brother Omar has gone mostly untreated due to a lack of funds and resources. The ill effects of this damage have progressed to the point that the organs are losing their ability to function. Khalil urgently needs 3 rounds of treatment to combat the effects of his deteriorating liver and kidneys.
We've paid off the first round of treatments but Khalil has two treatments that he still needs. The second costs about $1,250 usd, but we havenāt made much progress in more than a month and his condition is getting progressively worse. We need to meet this second goal ASAP!!!

After more than two years, my main account @DrDarine has been terminated. This account was not just a social media profile. It was the platform through which I shared my family's suffering with the world, especially Mariam's stories. It was my only way to connect with people, raise awareness about our situation, and make our voices heard.
In very brief summary:

Guys, I am very happy that the school will open and the children of Gaza will learn today. Today, the Minister of Education in Gaza and the school situation person visited us.

6-year-old Souad has been anemic since birth, and starvation and disease due to the IOF assault have caused her severe additional health complications. In September she fell unconscious and was admitted to the hospital. She has since been comatose and fluid is building up around her brain.
Medical staff have worked very hard to reduce the swelling. But despite their efforts, Souad's brain is now hemorrhaging (bleeding). The swelling has been too persistent, and the pressure is rapidly bursting the cells of her brain, causing bleeding. This will kill her. Little Souad is dying.
She needs to be evacuated outside of Gaza, but this is extremely expensive. However, in addition to the high cost of the medical evacuation, her family is also forced to pay high medical fees to the private hospital which is caring for her. It is the only facility in Gaza with the capacity to slow the deterioration of her condition, and these bills must be paid for her to live long enough for evacuation.
