Meet Julián (Gauchito)!
(I’m still rusty but hanging in there!)
Drawing his left arm and leg (still) pmo so bad ugh. Oh well.
Julián Navarro was Born in Santa Rosa, La Pampa, Argentina on March 12, 1968. In the summer of 1970, he and his mother, Isabel Navarro, moved to Buenos Aires, Argentina. He worked as the mascot for the 1978 World Cup at 10 years old, regularly performing as Gauchito. Isabel was his biggest supporter, as well as his loving stage mom.
Isabel’s parents immigrated to Argentina in 1937 from Andalusia, Spain in order to escape persecution under Francisco Franco. The identity of Julián’s father is unknown, though he is likely of Italian descent. Julián has never met his father, and Isabel has no interest in finding his identity. She’s not bitter, she simply never knew him very well. Julián is content with this fact.
A natural-born performer, Julián is notably graceful in his extroversion. He’s flamboyant, genuine, witty, and well-spoken. He’s known to greet everyone he meets with a hug, tilt his head back when he laughs, and habitually sings while doing tasks. He’s known and adored by people of all ages in his neighborhood, especially women. Julián is the source for all of the neighborhood gossip. He and his mother recap said gossip over dinner every night. Julián has nearly fallen out of his chair laughing on multiple occasions, and countless forks have been dropped.
Julián has thick, dark brown hair with a slight wave to it, thick eyebrows of the same color, a light golden complexion that always tans well, high cheekbones, a narrow upper body, thick thighs, and wide hips. He inherited the aforementioned features from his mother. His buck teeth and snubbed nose were possibly inherited from his father, but Julián considers the features uniquely his. At 167cm and 59kg (~5’6” and 130lbs), Julián is quite petite for a man.
Julián knew that he was gay by the time he was 7 years old. According to Isabel, she knew before he was born. She fully supports and loves him all the same. He noticed how appealing some boys in his school seemed to him, and that he never had crushes on any of the girls. Due to the dictatorship and the homophobic environment, he has had to refrain from publicly dating or discussing his love interests with others (besides Isabel). He was bullied in school due to his femininity, and would be called slurs by other students. Teachers seldom intervened.
Julián met his long-term partner, Matías Lucero, in 1995 (at 27 years old) while working together. They were married in September of 2010. Julián was 42.

I want to make this clear, Julián didn’t “get skinny”, he just grew into his proportions.
