id always wondered where our earring posts actually came from because i only ever saw native earrings with that type of wire loop closure and turns out theyre called FRENCH CLIPS

im still calling them fingernail posts though because fuck the french im using its ndn name

Theyre called fingernail posts! They're great for dancers because they're super secure, I'm not sure if that's why we started using them for beaded earrings, but they're nice for heavy earrings

yesss. i love them for heavy earrings because they put a lot of the weight more on the whole earlobe instead of the piercing hole it makes it a LOT more comfortable to wear for hours

being a vendor at the labor day festival this weekend was really fun but there were a couple shit moments where really old guys hit on me and made me uncomfortable. but it was immediately lightened by someone from the nation coming around to mine and my moms booth and asking if she could order a certain style of my earrings for the gift shop at the cultural center 👀
