I finally got back into the workshop after a long hiatus, here’s some EBMM Stingray hardware I just powdercoated in flat black!
really glad they haven’t made any elder scrolls movies bc there is not a single doubt in my mind that they’d make the dragonborn a blond nord man named Bjürgon which is an absolute waste of potential
Chris Hemsworth is “The Stealth Archer”
nearly the end of april.. you know what that means
this is an advanced joke
Told my girlfriend about this today. She didn’t get it. Still cracking up.
Not sure if real life or Bob Ross
Just a little noodling on my grandpa's old Yamaha. This is such a beautiful-sounding guitar, and one of my favorites in my collection. It's a pre-1970 non-export model, that my grandfather picked up during his travels while working for the World Bank.
Floyd Rose style bridge in white, with matching knobs and pickup covers
Here's some hardware I just shipped out over the weekend, in white. I'm really liking this color, I might have to do a batch for myself.
The beginnings of a parts mutt. This guitar body had a half- stripped red finish, and has been bouncing around my workshop for years. I decided to do a white base coat yesterday, since I already had the can of paint out. This morning I found a neck to put on it, so I fired up the pneumatic system and started doing a satin black on both. Unfortunately I hadn't used my spray gun in awhile, so there's a lot to wet sand out of this one. I think I'll just leave it at the black, though, and just rub out the orange peel.

Man, do I love a good Mustang.
concept: a bath but like. the water never get cold.
Hot springs?
I finally got a bunch of wall hangers for my combined studio/workshop/living room space. Just enough to display my current BC Rich collection.
My new guitar came in today. It's an early Korean BC Rich Warlock. It needs a lot of TLC, and a new Floyd Rose bridge. The good news, is that the bridge pickup looks like it's a Seymour Duncan Screamin' Demon.
Fixing the neck pocket break in my Bich, as well as cleaning out all the glue that was on the neck pocket. The last shot is after I redressed the frets and did a setup on it. I plugged in for about an hour, these pickups sound oddly Stratty, considering they're humbuckers. Maybe it's the maple body that's making it sound so bright.
It's been a productive weekend here at Churchill Guitar Repair. The workshop has been re-organized, I shipped out a Mandolin, and filled a few orders for smaller accessories. Next on the list: I recently picked up this 1984 BC Rich Bich. This is an early NJ model, from when they were still made in the Nagoya, Japan factory. As you can see in the photos, this guitar needs some serious TLC. The neck pocket is cracked, and the finish has multiple chips/cracks/deep scratches. I'm debating on refinishing it, I really like the Candy Red color but it's beyond reasonable repair. Specs 24 3/4" scale length 1 5/8" at the nut Rosewood fingerboard 2 1/8" at neck heel Mahogany neck, maple body 3x3 Traditional Headstock with Cross Logo Leo Quan-Designed Quad Bridge I'm not sure on the pickups yet, but my best guess is that they are made by Gotoh. More updates to come after tear-down.
Here's a little Red, White, and Blue Fender-style to start this Vereran's Day.
