Theย beginningย of Santaeโs Alpha test on May 12th, was the start of anย incredible journey. In the weeks since then, weโve enriched the game withย dozens of regular updates and exciting new features.

Onย Santae, mystical pets are your adventuring companions. There are plenty to choose from, and many more species on the way! Over the course ofย Alpha, we releasedย 5 brand new pet speciesย for Santarians to befriend. Weโve alsoย increasedย the amount of pet friends you can add to yourย adventure party to 10ย when you start!
The adorable moth-likeย Nochturnย is ready to join any Santarianโs adventuring party as soon as they join the site. Brave adventurers who journey to the Lava Caves of the Flamefall Cascades can find the draconicย Harlowinย and fearsomeย Grusim. The elegantย Dravaย can be found at traveling merchant Vesperaโs exclusive shop. And finally, the friendlyย Quibbitย evolves from its tadpole-like Minimal form.

Exciting New Site Features
The world ofย Santaeย is rich with opportunities to explore, gather, and discover. During the siteโsย Alpha phase, weโve unlocked engaging on-siteย mini-gamesย that bring you and your pets all across the vibrant world ofย Santae.
Send your petsย Gatheringย at locations acrossย Santaeย and they will bring back exciting items to share with you! Your pet might bring you aย magical runeย from the mysteriousย Stormforge Caverns, gather useful plants from theย Ancient Grove, or maybe even discover an egg that can hatch into another pet at the volcanic pools ofย Ember Springs. You can also direct your pet to pluck rare berries from theย Great Berry Tree!
When your pets goย Fishingย at the sunnyย Solar Sandsย โ or in any gathering location acrossย Santaeย โ thereโs no telling what they might find at the other end of the line. You mightย reelย in a delicious fish, an eel that can join your pet as itsย Minimalย companion, a piece ofย useful equipmentย that only needs a small repair, and so much more. Moreย discoveriesย in the depths of the waters aroundย Santaeย are sure to come.
If you want toย tame wild Minimals, go visitย Silvershadeโs Ranchย in the Lani Archipelago! They will send you out into the wild toย catch and tame a Minimalย through an interactiveย Herdingย mini-game. Bring berries, toys, and plushies to tempt and distract theย Minimalย as you and your pet cooperate to befriend it.
Santaeโs sunny daysย andย mysterious nightsย each hold their ownย mysteriesย to explore, watch as the clouds move while you play, and every hour on the hour you can watch the transition to day/night. As the world cycles between states every hour, you and your pets have the chance to makeย exciting new discoveries!
Visiting theย Lava Cavesย in the dark of night will bring you face to face with the opportunity to tame a fearsomeย Grusimย โ but during the light of day, theย Grusimย retreats. While the sun shines over theย Lava Caves, you can instead bring yourย Harlowin eggย there to hatch into a new companion.
The most important ingredient in the world of Santae is you: The community!
Over the course ofย THREEย exciting events, ourย Alpha Testersย have been able to participate in and shape the future of the gameโs world. Together, weโve discovered newย Minimals, locations, and even new pet species.
Mysterious slug-likeย Minimalsย swarmed Gathering locations all acrossย Santae, prompting adventurers everywhere to collect them in an attempt to learn more.
By collecting theย Gooppersย and discovering their source, Santarians discovered a brand-new location:ย The Goopper Grotto. This tranquil forest clearing holds an amazing secret: When you bring a Goopper there alongside certain powerfully magical items, theย Minimal will transform!
By following the traces of anย ancient legend, adventurers learned of aย mythical creatureย lurking deep within theย Lava Caves.
Together, Santarians discoveredย sanDust:ย A secondary currency earned throughย site activities. This magical dust proved to be the secret toย calmingย the ferocious ancient beast within the caves. By working together to collect sanDust, theย communityย unlocked the ability toย tame and adopt the Grusim for everyone!
When Santarians began to discoverย mysterious eggsย around the site, theyย banded togetherย to collect them and learn more about them.ย Together, we learned how to hatchย Quibbspawn eggsย into a brand-new Minimal:ย The Quibblet!
But theย Quibbletย was no ordinary Minimal. Moreย ancient cluesย pointed the community towards a newly-discovered location,ย Quibbit Cove. It was there that the true secret of theย Quibbletย was revealed: Feeding it in the cove causes it toย evolve into a fully-fledged pet, the Quibbit!
Thanksย to the communityโs efforts ofย research and discovery, the location ofย Quibbit Coveย and the secret ofย Quibbletย evolution are now unlocked for everyone.
