I went to an interview that my sister had set up for my at BBQ’s she worked their but at a different location. When I 1st went just to meet everyone the supervisor loved my hair, I had curly hair that was a little past my shoulders, it wasn’t too tall it was pretty tamed. When I came back for the actual interview with the manager she immediately took offense to my hair, she kept staring at it while the supervisors was asking me questions then she got so fed up I guess that she asked me when I was going to get my hair done, I informed her that my hair was done I literally just got it done (it was a weave) she told me that my hair was unsanitary & that it wasn’t done & then procedded to insult my intelligence by making rude comments & joking about me saying it was done when she felt it wasn’t, she then told me I needed to pull it back in a bun like hers I informed her I had too much hair to do a bun a small & tight & told her I didn’t have thin texture hair like she did so it wasn’t that simple as she was making it, she then got upset & she asked me why I didn’t just do it like my sister did hers (a curly bun my sister’s hair texture is also very thin she’s my step sister) she then told me I couldn’t come back until my sister did my hair. I cried when I left because I was mad at myself for sitting up on there’s ppl’s face smiling at them while they tore me apart over my hair. The man who loved it when I 1st came in also chimmed in & lied saying he told me to get it done last time he seen me. I was so mad at myself because I’m usually so vocal & don’t take any form of disrespect but I didn’t want my family to get mad at me for quitting before I even started so I sucked it up & let them go on & make the entire interview about my hair. Mind you the man was black & the woman was Hispanic most likely Puerto Rican 😑 & she was comparing my mixed corse hair to her very thin almost see through ass hair
