“I wasn’t trying to make it sound that way, sorry. I just get very passionate over the idea that I could make my experiences unimaginably great...but perhaps I’m just naive.” She shrugged, part of her knowing that’s all there was to it. “I don’t know, never had a problem with anyone from those areas, but why did you leave? If you don’t mind me asking.”

“Well, my my, you are very exciting aren’t you?” Darcie rolled her eyes while crossing her arms in a defending manner. “I can’t be blamed for bringing some good distractions to this town. We are not a happy go lucky camp, we are people with emotions above all so deal with it. I’m not stopping.”

“Maybe I’d rather be boring than a havoc causing rule breaker.” Lyra said without letting the sound of it diminish her point. “But your voice can only do so much, how do you expect to get away with it?”

“That is very noticeable.” Lyra said, lacking enthusiasm. “I work on bettering communication between merpeople and well, other supernaturals in this town. You playing cupid could not only affect that but it’s just so childish.”

Danielle laughed at how naive Lyra proved to be, did she really dare to underestimate her that much? “So you don’t deny it? You don’t deny being an accomplice to a murder and because of that now someone is dead and another in jail? Talk about hitting rock bottom.”

“What’s the point in that?” Lyra said, sounded more defeated than intended. “He was going to kill us, it had to be done. I don’t expect you to understand, and I don’t know why I did the things I did but if I chose not to say anything it wasn’t because I don’t trust you...I just didn’t want to get any more people in trouble.”

“Well that can’t be that bad, can it? The world out there is pretty crazy, I like it much better here.” He commented, knowing deep inside that he only felt that way because of his family. “I’m from Massachusetts, in the good old United States, so not too far.”

“That’s what everyone says but I can’t help but say that that’s just one of many versions of the world.” Lyra said, feeling as if people’s comments about it only reflected their reality. “Oh, we get a lot of people from there it seems. At least you made it here alive.”

“My bad, Im not entirely sure how mermaids work. I dont think Ive ever actually met one and with how long Ive been alive, that is saying something.” She watched Lyra study the Furby before laughing at the mention of a Rubric Cube. “I actually love those. They got annoying sure but not as bad as Furby.”

"Most explore the human world freely but my family is a little more conservative about it, but eventually I left and now I live here. It's always an adventure getting to learn about odd things like these." She chuckled, giving back the furby. "Definitely not my kind of toy."

"Maybe you could do it a big favor by not signing." Lyra said sternly. If there was one thing she didn't agree on was getting involved in other people's relationships.

Lyra nodded, finding it amusing thought not wanting to make a fuss about it. “I’m sure they do, we mermaids just don’t find much use to it.”
