raquel-liana-werecat:
She shrugged in response to his first words, despite the way they met one another it actually took a lot to scare her or to make her stop trying to talk to someone so although he seemed sure that she would change her mind, she had high doubts about such a thing. despite what he believed. She took the drink with a nod of thanks as he sat back down and she took a sip. âI hope you are as forthcoming with answers as you are curious with questions.â She told him when he asked about her father, normally when someone asked she tensed up and hurried to change the subject, yet here she found herself telling Roland about it, âMy father was a werecat, as am I obviously, but when I was younger my father âdiedâ in an accident and he left my mother and I when he awoke in a new life and had no memory of who he was. As a child I didnât understand how you could just forget your family, a whole life. So, I always found him and begged him to come back, to know me, to be my daddy again.â She swallowed and took another gulp of her drink before continuing, âHe would get so mad, scream he didnât know me, threaten to kill me.â She laughed humorlessly, âThe last time I tried, he backhanded me and I fell to the ground. Before I knew what was happening I transformed to my cat form and scratched a line from his eye to his jaw. That was years ago.â
âActually, Iâm not, Iâm sure my pesky uncle can confirm that.â He stopped himself for a moment after saying uncle out loud, did that mean he unconsciously accept him as family? He shook the thought away while taking a sip of his drink and heard to her story. The story itself didnât shock him as much as her telling him she is a werecat; in all his years alive he had probably met a couple and so far she was the most interesting of them all. âSounds like a man like that shouldnât have the gift of nine lives,â he commented casually, âso I take it that whole failed kidnapping fiasco was him trying to live up to his word to get rid of you once and for all? Or does he just want payback for the scar?â He wondered. It wasnât often that someone elseâs life story captured his attention, but he appreciated the distraction from his own family drama, even if hers was very similar to his own.Â
