Shout out the national library service for the blind and print disabled. I love listening to anti-capitalist audiobooks on the government’s dime

For those of you who don’t know if you live in the US or are a citizen and you have a disability that makes it difficult to read, It is relatively simple to get free audio or braille books, even if you don’t have a diagnosis. It’s an organization run through the library of congress. You only have to fill out a couple of forms and get someone to sign off on it, which could be anyone from a doctor to a librarian.

For the record, we are going to stop engaging with the Tally Hall fandom. This is a decision we made before the recent information about Joe. Full disclosure, I have not read the new document, nor do I intend to. That being said, I feel it important that we put our perspective out there as folks who likely have some type of psychotic disorder and have experienced psychotic episodes on a reoccurring basis. We will not be engaging with discussion or responses to this post. This is the last thing we are going say about anything related to Tally Hall or its controversies.

Having a psychotic disorder does not make you a pedophile. Having a psychotic disorder does not make you a groomer. It does not make you inappropriately interact with children. By implying that the reason Joe did what he did was because of his mental health issues, not only does it give him undeserved sympathy for things that he did wrong, but it further works to demonize people with these already demonized disorders. He can have schizophrenia and be a child groomer, and those things can be unrelated.

You can like someone’s art and still acknowledge that they have done harmful things. I know the dissonance is hard, but by continuing to defend him and conflate his disorders with the harm he has done, we as a fandom are enabling this behavior. We are making it so more people are likely to interact with him and continue this horrific pattern. That’s all we have to say.

Adromeda’s Eyes- I got the Vegas part from “He pulled into a desert town of population seven” (7 as in a lucky seven in gambling, Vegas is in the desert). I believe emerald station, crystal canyon, and crooked alabaster to be referencing various drugs. “Andromeda's Eyes/Make you see lies/Tampers your alibis” is part of where I got the scam thing from. I could go into more details, but I think you get the picture.
