Hello, hello darlings it's been a while! Sorry for the silence, I planned to announce a hiatus... only to go on my own hiatus while I was at it haha (แต ยด โ ห หถ). But I wanted to drop in, update my status, and talk about the last tournament.
Alright, so it's no big secret but I'm a huge fan of Lizzy, like terminally insane over her. I actually came up with the idea of a fashion tournament first for her! But I had no experience running one, and I wasn't confident it would garner enough attention... So instead I decided to go for a more popular character like Ciel! That way I could gain enough followers to vote for Lizzy's tournament muwhahaha ฯ(๏ฝโยด)ฯ
I'm mostly teasing, I did intend to make Ciel's tournament at the beginning as well, and I'm glad I did. Surprisingly, I found his more exciting, because he had so outfits it was hard to tell who the winner would be, unlike Lizzy who I could pretty much guess from the start.

While there were a few strong runner-ups, it was pretty easy to tell Lizzy's Volume Cover would win. It's one of Yana's best designs: the white delicate lace accented by brilliant golden swords. A volume cover like that definitely makes you want to read the manga featuring this girl (i miss her... เซฎ(หถใ
๏ธฟใ
)แ)
It's also the volume right after Lizzy revealed her swordsmanship, which is still considered one of the most surprising moment of the series! So to say the least, this dress certainly left an impression!
I think it's the same sort of sentiment why the Campania ballgown got second. This dress got a lot of promotion back in 2017 with both the animated movie adaption, and the musical (Tango on the Campania my beloved <3). It's not as elaborate as her other dresses, but it certainly is special to our hearts (tho I kinda wished we got to see a wedding dress showdown instead haha)
I will say though, I was baffled by a LOT of the results. Looking back at the bracket, it seemed a lot of you guys liked Lizzy's more active, business wear outfits? The kind with suits and jackets, like her White Day Illustration (we love a girl boss).
But I'm surprised her more iconic outfits weren't winning as much. I was consistently voting for losing dresses at the start.
(just kidding, everyone's taste in fashion is valid, but I was losing my mind. someone please validate me (:โโนใโ ) )
Despite many of my favorite dresses not making the cut, I was very happy to show off my precious girl's wardrobe. Thanks everyone for showing up!!
Alright, so I know everyone's waiting on news for the next tournament...
But I need to be honest, I don't have the energy to plan one anytime soon. This last tournament really took the wind out of me and I didn't feel very present during the last half of it. It's probably because I didn't pace myself well enough...(แต ยด โ ห หถ)
So for now I'm going into hiatus! I'd like to return to engaging the fandom in a different way, making meta and art, which I've been neglecting for a while now.
The good news is that Ciel and Lizzy had the largest collection of outfits in the series, so hopefully tournaments will be much smaller in the future? (for my sake). Frankly... I lowkey wanna wait until the manga is over (yeah right lol) But for the moment I can't make any promises to return, especially where I'm at.
