She shook her head “Don’t worry about it” she said, shrugging it off quickly. “He’s one of my best friends” she nodded with a crooked smile “always sorta wished you two got along better.” she admitted. She’d always tried to stay out of it, but she wasn’t going to pretend she didn’t wish things could have been different.

Her smile widened a little and she nodded again “Good. Happy I could help. Let me know if there’s anything else I  can do.” she offered genuinely.

He clearly relaxed at the sight of her smile. In a way, it was reassuring he hadn’t messed anything up between them.”Well, let’s hope things are different now. “And yeah, if there’s anythin’ that ya can do tah help me, i’ll be on the phone with ya, asap.” he flashed a boyish grin at that.

“Well, i’m not sure what else you’re down for tonight. I was going to show you my new motorcycle, offer a ride, but m’not sure what you’re in the mood for after dinner.”

“I surely hope people have their green ready. The best holiday is coming up.”

"And that’s great, I never said it wasn’t." she repeated "I’m happy for you and I’m glad you guys are working shit out." she added, though she didn’t really know how she’d given the impression otherwise. "Stephen’s a great guy and despite the crazy antics, he’s the kind that always has you back when you need it."

"I do" she nodded "I’ve only been once or twice but I’ve always had a good time. I’d definitely go again."

He nodded, “Well maybe that’s a good thing then. I think I need more people like that in my life for sure.” He gave her an apologetic smile, “Sorry if I misinterpreted ya at first, Amber. I’m glad that ya are happy about it though.” Especially how things were in the past.

HE smiled formed to a grin at her words, “Sweet deal. Looks like i’ll have to make some calls after dinner. Get somethings rolling.” he said, nearly cleaning his plate with out he finished off his food. Hungrier than he thought, as always.

She sighed and shook her head, setting the plate back down on the counter “I never said it wasn’t alright, Colin. I said it was surprising.” she said simply “it’s not like you’ve been his biggest fan in the past, so go ahead and shoot me for being surprised you’d reach out to him, of all people, for whatever reason.” she added, deciding, based on his response, not to push further for the why. "In fairness, if it serves beer, generally Whit loves it" she joked at her sister’s expense "Nah, I’m kidding" she shook her head "it’s pretty classy, I think everyone would love it."

"Well, yeah. I just told ya why, Amber. I don't like havin' bad blood with people really and m'tryin' tah be a better a person. And If that means making amends with people, then i'll do that." He wasn't sure what he expected but he supposed that she was just surprised by it?

He nodded as she described the drink choices. "Well, do ya like the place at least?" He really trusted her judgement on these type of things.

"Yeah, I don’t know - they met on New Years or something" she shrugged, not wanting to make a big deal of it because she knew how he felt about Stephen - which is precisely why she nearly choked on a piece of broccoli when he said he’d reached out to him "You did what now?" she coughed "Why?" she asked curiously but then realized that sounded a bit harsh "I mean, that’s just surprsing is all." she clarified, chuckling a little and shaking her "Well, I’m not going to say it’s my favorite look on you, but it’s certainly not hideous." 

She nodded, pleased he seemed interested in her suggestion. “I don’t know” she laughed, “its always felt like it should be a mens old-timey cigar club or something, so it seems like the kind of place you’d dig. My sister loves it.” she added, which is why she was familiar with it.

He furrowed his brows at her reaction. He thought at least she'd think of it as something nice. "Is that okay...?" he asked, slightly. "I don't exactly like havin' bad blood with people, heh. I mean, he was fine with helpin' me so.." he shrugged his shoulders. Maybe he should have waited on that? He didn't like people seeing him as a douche so he tried to do better. 

She was right about the idea of him liking the place. It definitely seemed like somewhere he'd go. "Well, if your sister loves it then I guess I wouldn't need to worry about it catering too much to men in looks."

She nodded, using her fingers to pick piece of meat off the plate when he handed it to her “Yeah, her and Stephen have been all buddy-buddy too.” her brow quirked up as she popped the chicken into her mouth “Oh well in that case, she must be awesome.” she chuckled “And here I thought you were just trying to make a fashion statement.” 

"Oh, well if you’re doing a St. Patty’s thing, I’d look at something like The Sayers Club over on Wilcox. Has a fitting ambiance for that sort of thing." she explained "Kind of a pubby sort of feel with leather couches and stuff, along with a dance floor and stage, if you decided to get a band."

He raised a brow as she mentioned how Stephen had been hanging around his new friend. "Really...? That's...I don't know. Surprising I suppose. Well, good. I...well, I've been really tryin' tah do better and that includes with people. I had reached out to him awhile ago...kinda want to be on good terms, ya know?" he said, glancing up at her. At the mention of him making a fashion statement he chuckled, "Hell naw. This things is absolutely hideous."

He munched on a mouthful of food as he listened to the place she was describing, raising a brow. "What? There's a place like this...? Why the fuck haven't I heard of this..." he mumbled to himself. It sounded like an ideal spot.

"Well dish it up, then" she nodded, gesturing to the plates and giving a small shrug of one shoulder "No new friends to report - oh, except the awesome blonde hottie from Chuck." she chuckled "New project is The Danish Girl - which might be a bigger deal now that Eddie has won an Oscar. Uh…" she paused to think but then shook her head "That’s about all I’ve got."

"Well, have you thought about location? Theme?" she asked.

He nodded as he grabbed the plates and served out the food. He placed hers down as he went to get forks, nodding as he listened. "I met a cool chick. Adrianne Palicki. She's from the Marvel show and GI Joe. I think you two could get along really. Kind reminds me of you." he explained as he sat down. "Been working on True Detective Tv series. Got me wearing this ugly mustache...." he rolled his eyes.

"And I haven't thought of location actually...I was thinking about the same place as last time...but might be too classy for St. Patrick's party.."

"Always." she nodded in agreement, but couldn’t help lifting a curious brow when he mentioned catching up. "That might be kind of hard to do, given what you just said." she pointed out, not even trying to be difficult, it just seemed unlikely they could ‘fully’ share if he was still holding back "but hey, I’m always an open book." she joked, knowing fully she was anything but most days.

"Oh?" she looked curious "you planning a shindig, are ya?" she chuckled and shrugged her shoulders "Make sure you have good music and an open bar and everyone will be happy." she offered, only half kidding.

"I just meant like any new projects? New friends...or anything like that. Been somwhere cool? We don't need to go deep on anything. Just casual talk...and because you're really not getting out of here without helping me eat down this stir fry, Miss." he said, pointing to the stove.

"Well yeah, music and bar but you know more goes into those kind of things as well."
