BAXTER LIGHTFOOT.

The first thing Baxter wanted to do around here was get his barrings. He had to know where everything was in case he needed to make a run for it. Hopefully, it wouldn’t come to that, but you could never be so sure. After all, he didn’t know anyone here, except one, so there was no way to really know if one might be hiding something.

As he made his way down towards the beach, he found the beach to be much more calming than he had expected. It wasn’t his favorite place in the world, but considering how busy he had been lately, it was nice. Though, he couldn’t help but smile when the calm was soon interrupted by blaring music. He eagerly welcomed it though as he found the source.

The sound of music had him bobbing along to it as he swaggered over to her, gladly smiling as he noticed the blonde and began to recognize the song. “WE’RE RUNNING OUT OF REASONS, BUT WE CAN’T LET GOOOO! YEAH, HOLLYWOOD IS BLEEDING, BUT WE CALL IT HOOOOOOMMMEEEEE,” he howled out, incredibly off-key as he approached her.

—— ☾ Blaise turned around so quickly startled for a second. She didn’t quite remember his name but she looked at him as if he was made of magic. The stranger was truly was far more talented than she’d expected. Jaw dropping. Though she didn’t know why she was so surprised — it was majestic! An ELF going to w a r. “Has anyone told you — you have an regal voice of an elf heading to battle!”

He’d be great singing folk music! Perhaps even reading old poems, maybe even a fairytale or two. Yes. He was very off key && howling out but she could hear the empowering emotion he put into the notes. For his brave entrance she supposed she owed him a laugh or two as she purposely danced some pretty terrible moves ( ⚓ / ⚓ / ⚓ ) in hopes to bring a little laughter.

ANABELLE BROOKS.

“That’s right,” she confirmed, nodding happily at the blonde. It was nice to officially get to know people. Their names had already been thrown around a few times, but they were going to be spending a lot of time together over the next few weeks anyway.

Taking the phone, Anabelle’s eyes went wide. “Umm.. do you have a particular artist you like? I’m terrible at picking anything other than classical music to be perfectly honest with you,” she admitted, biting her lip. Anabelle would listen to almost anything, but she always blanked when people asked her to choose.

“I would never,” she finally said, grinning as she handed the phone back to her and began to let her skirt swirl around her.

—— ☾ “You’re name is so sweet && so beautiful to say.” Her name was as smooth && crystal as magic while her own name was hard either like a rock or like a dragons scale. Not that dragon scales or rocks were bad but it wasn’t much of a southern maidens name. “Do I?” She muttered to herself as she looked like she was thinking but her moods were always changing like the tides. “Is that so? Is it bold of me to request for you to play a classical song that makes you instantly happy when you’ve had a tough day.”

At the moment there was something she needed more than anything: c o m f o r t. && where words FAIL, music s p e a k s. “&& if that’s to personal of a request what’s a song you desire to share that speaks to you?” Only to in the end find the phone in her hands a she’d giggle sweetly. “I think I’ll play something fun,” she giggled as she’d play something a little between the lines on how they met as a playful gesture as it was also easy of a song to dance too. { the night begins to shine }

SEBASTIAN FACILIER.

ₓ˚. ୭ ˚○◦ RAISING ONLY ONE OF HIS EYEBROWS, SEBASTIAN LOOKED HER UP AND DOWN. he was curious about her reaction as she turned back to look at him. there were quite a few ways it could all go and quite frankly, sebastian didn’t truly care which way. as it seemed, the small blonde had winked back at him, a response, he hadn’t quite expected from such a small person. “what makes you think i wouldn’t enjoy that, dear?” he stated, crossing his arms over his bare chest, that same chest that glistened in the sun shining from above. as he watched her eyes drift toward the surfboard, nodding slowly.

taking a step toward the board, his eyes drifted up and down. “if you’re willing to teach me, i’m willing to learn,” sebastian responded, his moving from the board to the water out in the distance. he’d never thought about surfing, not in the slightest, but he was always up for a new adventure, especially if it involved a girl teaching him. this was his favorite part about meeting girls, learning their hobbies and habits and trying to show them he cared, even if it wasn’t real. but this hobby, he could get behind. because why wouldn’t you want to be out on the water like that, the wind pushing against you, reminding you of how good life was. “i’m a very good listener.”

—— ☾ Frozen like a deer in headlights she didn’t know what to say to that. Should she bite him && ASK questions l a t e r? Pretty sure she’s had her rabies shot so all was good. “Good point but beware I am feeling a bit sharkish today so careful not to tempt me?” She was very sharkish today but was she really going to bite him? Not very likely today but she did try to give off the illusion she would. Kneeling down she’d lower the music down as she drifted towards her board. “You really want to learn how to surf? I’d be more than happy to teach you.” Slowly she’d walk over to her board && Sebastian as she’d gaze at it with a simple but endearing look.

Reaching for it her fingers tracing over wet ocean droplets. “Wait now?” Flabbergasted as she’d go back && turn off her speaker && music from her phone. Teaching him wasn’t a problem. It wasn’t a problem at all just a little sudden is all as she’d rummage from her bag as she’d wave her sunscreen in her hand. “Do you need an extra layer or are you good?” Mind racing with thoughts she’s never taught anyone before but she had a couple ideas. Applying extra sunscreen to herself before she’d slither off her leather jacket && switch if off for her surf jacket not quite zipping it up yet. “Oh is that so?” She mused lightly “then how good is your athleticism~”

NIALL “NIBS” KELLY.

Niall had always had a very complicated history when it came to his love and time. Luckily he had enough time on his hands to figure out what he thought had been love wasn’t. Part of his issues with just sleeping around were that he didn’t want to let anyone close enough to destroy him like that again. But with some talk from his friend he knew it was time to give love a chance again. “Time helps a lot with the whole love aspect.”

The way she had farm had him wanting to question what kind of farm, however he knew she wasn’t being straight forward for a reason. He would hope that someone would try to pry into his past until he was ready to talk about it. Taking Jessica’s advice, think before speaking. Think before speaking.

He nodded as she spoke about her upbringing a bit. Niall looked at her a bit, “Why would i tell someone else your life story?” He wasn’t the type to do that at all. He barely spoke about his own let alone someone elses.

“I might take you up on it, at least the water here is warmer and clearer then California.” His eyes drifted towards the ocean while they spoke. Shaking his head, “No actually for legal reasons I couldn’t my business partner is taking care of everything while I’m away.” He could talk about it without giving too much away. “Video games helped me escape when I was younger so I wanted to give then to people who needed it as well.”

Niall was surprised by her forwardness, to say the least. He had to admit she was beautiful. Although it wasn’t the same connection with Teagan. He nodded, “I wouldn’t mind getting to know each other more, and I can keep you in mind.” He swallowed the lump in his throat. “I need to be honest though, right now I’m more interested in Teagan.” He really hoped he didn’t hurt her feelings but he had to follow his own advise.

—— ☾ His words astonish her. Piercing through her like lighting. Unbearable gaze intertwined in a locked trance. “There was a time in my life were the company I kept seemed more open && chattier than most.” A soft missing sigh as she thought about her dear STEP s i s t e r s. They were never the ones to keep to themselves && she’s never the one to truly open up her story. Until now. So he was special b u t he was still very NEW too. New && striking. Clasping her hands together as she had a lively twinkle glittering in her eyes. “I’ll be waiting.” A magnificent smile as she wondered what California was like. Making the gestures he no longer needed to explain anything. “I’ll just google you time to time in hopes to find it someday,” chuckling as she’s never really invested her time in playing video games but she wanted to explore new hobbies && experience new skills.

“You’ve found your calling && that speaks a lot. I still haven’t found were I quite fit.” She knew she liked animals as much as she liked people but even if she knew what she wanted to be. It’s not like she’d have the financial money to follow through. But school WAS on her l i s t of things to do before she reached her 30′s. “Don’t worry,” she genuinely meant her words as she smiles kindly at Niall. Hand reaching for his squeezing gently for a couple seconds before pulling away. “I’m pleased to know there’s a chance. Teagan is a lucky girl && I hope everything goes well for the both of you.” All she could ask for was what he simply had spoken, a chance. Not many have given her that choice growing up so she couldn’t be happier.

—— ☾ if her heart could explode out of her chest, it would’ve. Stomach clenching as if Teagan threw a fist into it. Blaise looked at Teagan first than at Niall very tragic. Blinking her eyes as if to wink the tears away. As the magic of reality siphoned into her, momentarily bewildering && confusing her. Emotion bubbling to the surface as she quickly reached a hand up to wipe away stray blond hair. She didn’t choose Niall because she sincerely assumed Teagan would choose him. Teagan’s choice had hit her hard, but it had also hit her very fast.

Fast enough that Blaise hadn’t been able to process everything that had happened surrounding the moment. Concealing a glance at Eric, hoping to pause her soft self destructive melody of emotions stirring inside her. Niall was how a distant dream must feel like. Since the very beginning, it was a nostalgic wilful knowing. No longer getting caught up in the moment for what was done was done. There was little to be done. Wrapping her arms around Eric’s who was like a slow tide, the perfect sea breeze, && a ship sailing into the sunset dream.

ERIC YOUNG.

The neatly written poem that Eric had made was placed by the bed of the other. He had made sure that there was a single rose that lie above the letter as they were both surrounded by red petals of said flora. After the poem, there was another note stating to meet him at the hot tub at a certain time. Delicately signed with his name at the bottom.

The raven at first thought it to be romantic but, after some pondering of having finished the task… A thought crossed his mind in thinking that it may have been too much.

‘Well, you can’t please everyone.’ Eric gave himself some assuaging thoughts as he was already at the room for the hot tub.

He was grateful that the island had accommodated them in a myriad of items that can be used for a date. He mused about the night carefully, rose petals at the floor leading to the tub as there was a table close by that offered assorted types of desserts and biscuits. He was unsure as to what Blaise had even liked but, he wanted to at least be sure she would be comfortable if she did want canapé. The raven was mulling over drinks, having in his hand two different bottles of champagne that he had not realized nor did he even hear the sound of someone coming.

—— ☾ Blaise stepped out from the shower wearing her favorite oversized hoodie ( ⚓ ) as the aroma of eucalyptus, spearmint && aloe vera loomed around her. Finding the bedroom refreshingly cold after her early run around the island && watching the day breaking over the sea surfing. Flopping on her side of the majestic bed that felt like a cloud when she saw a blur of red on her nightstand. Lazily shifting she’d sit on the edge reaching towards the items on her nightstand.

Blaise sat there for a long moment, staring down at Eric’s poem. Goosebumps rose on her arms as she couldn’t breath let alone look away until it was engraved in her brain. Very carefully putting down the poem as if it was made out of glass reaching for the very red rose! Gently twirling the rose in her hand as she leaned down && inhaled sighing dreamily holding the rose close to her heart. Her very first poem && rose from a boy that didn’t come from her father or her stepbrother!

Gently she too was very careful putting her rose back down on her nightstand right next to her poem. Excitement bubbled inside her covering her face as if she was trying to hide from the note. Peaking through her fingers re-reading it all over as she squealed scrambling onto the bed jumping up && down. She was going to go on a date! With a b o y! Who she’s supposed to meet less in an hour? Back flipping off the bed with newfound energy. She had to get ready! Rushing to the bathroom she stared at her reflection && like a puppy, she made a whining sound.

Leaning in close to the mirror Blaise wished she knew how to use makeup but she has no idea how. Her cheeks were a little on the rosy side from being out in the sun earlier. Putting on a little bit of chapstick. && though she lacked illusionist skills she was very good with her fingers. Deciding to fix her hair in a four-strand diamond braid ( ⚓ ). Slipping out of her hoodie && into her white cut-out halter one-piece ( ⚓ ). She felt the jitters as she looked into the mirror turning around staring as it exposes a bite mark from a shark on her back ( ⚓ ).

The nervous flutter of her heart. She loved the way the bathing suit fitted her as it brought out her sun-kissed skin but she did feel self-conscious seeing the clear as day whitish shark bite scar on her back. Spraying herself down with a lush rainforest teeming with juicy mangos, tangy pineapples, && a hint of fresh jasmine sunscreen. Slipping on her leather jacket feeling a little more confident in herself. Going through her beach bag she’d find the water bottle with her name on it && unscrew the top to put her lovely rose in!

Her smile beaming a bright && delicate tone, she was running a little late as her quiet footfalls followed the lovely scattered rose petals. Undeniably curious && was oblivious to her surroundings finding the trail come to an end. Blaise couldn’t exactly say what she was feeling when she caught sight of Eric — NERVOUS, e x c I t e d, scared? Quietly she rushed behind Eric rising on her tippy toes as her hands went to cover his eyes as she recited his poem back to him hoping he’d guess right!

NIALL “NIBS” KELLY.

Niall was just so used to being disappointed in his life. The one time he let himself come close to actually having feelings for another person, they tossed it back in his face. Even years later he still remembered the pain of that moment. It was no surprise when his parents told him later that week that they were moving to the US, he didn’t even care. “Time isn’t on anyones side, He is unbiased just like love. It comes and goes when it needs to.”

“The south isn’t very specific, but you don’t have to tell me either. I am not about prying.” He noticed Blaise was very unspecific with the details she said. He stuck to his words though and kept from prying further into topics. “Surfing now that is surprising, not in a bad way just kind of interesting.”

“I’m originally from Manchester, England. I was adopted when I was about twelve and then moved to California around the age of fourteen.” She started he didn’t mind talking about the adoption it was the time in the lost boys that he didn’t speak about. “I graduated from Cali Tech with a masters in computer programming and art design. Now I’m a partner at a Video Game design company.” Niall listened to her voice break, they all had something to hide didn’t they? “I think as long as you are open and honest, rejection and happiness are apart of finding love. Here or out in the world.

—— ☾ Easy to bully she had no friends but her only brother ( step-brother ). Then she was just thrown out of the only place known as home && the brother she adored. Blaise was so b u s y just trying to survive she’s never really been in a relationship. Now that she was here that’s all she wants. To start a whole new chapter in her life! Eyes widening as she couldn’t help but sigh dreamily. Blaise liked the way he phrased it. Leaving her in her own thoughts because it was a wonderful way of seeing things in a different way. “Time && love is a lot more complex than I originally thought.”

“O h,” gently murmuring as she made a soft nervous humming sound. Her story was not a kind one && she’s never really talked about it except only once. “I. . was born && raised in Charleston on a FARM,” well it started as a equine farm but before her mum fell ill she’d bring home all sorts of exotic animals ranging from injured macaws, abandoned wolves, injured or abandoned alligators, a tiger cub that was missing an eye, exotic reptiles that people thought they could handle but all those animals had a place back home because of her mum. Turning into an exotic farm && in her mothers memory a sanctuary for discarded animals that needed a place to call home.

Or perhaps it was like that 𝔬𝔫𝔠𝔢 𝔲𝔭𝔬𝔫 𝔞 𝔱𝔦𝔪𝔢 as she wasn’t so sure anymore since she hadn’t been home in years. Rubbing the back of her neck troubled as she tried not to think about it too much. “My mum passed away when I was young && my father ended up remarrying to later vanish out of existence. Now I live in Myrtle Beach as a part time florist!” Clasping her hands together gently like closing a book finishing a dark chapter as she left some details out here && there. “Just don’t go telling everyone.” Blaise liked Niall enough to tell him but she wouldn’t do the same for most of the islanders.

“R e a l l y!?” A bubbly giggle as she pondered a little “If you’re ever interested to learn or want to give it a shot just for fun I’d be more than happy to give you lessons.” A soft roll of her shoulders && a wave hand gesture. A flicker of sadness washed over her. Pulling her knee up to her chin, wrapping her arm lazily around her leg && rests her head while her loose blond strands drape lightly over top of her bare skin. Biting down on her tongue, almost hard enough for it to bleed as her gaze shifts to the floor.

He was much stronger than she was. To talk about his life like that. “Did you bring any of the games you were developing with you?” Her voice perked up as she concentrated on the fascination of him mastering in computer programming && art design. Not that she’s played much video games or had any schooling past a high school degree. “What made you decide that route if you don’t mind me asking?” Turning her head she seemed to gaze at him sideways.

Lowering her leg she’d seem to lean back as he had her head spinning as she had a moonily gaze about her. “Then I’m going to be honest && be straightforward && say I’d like to get to know you more if you feel the same or want to keep me in mind. If it doesn’t work out who says we can’t be friends in the end.” Either way she was open && honest with herself. Blaise might get rejected but who said they couldn’t be friends if there was no romantic connection.

Anabelle smiled a bit at the response. It wasn’t quite what she had expected. “Well, even for a party of one, it still seems like you’re quite relaxed, which is far more than I can say,” she told her truthfully. She danced while she was alone as much as anyone, but she still didn’t think she could ever do that with camera’s rolling.

“Do you mind if I join you then?” she asked curiously, as her arms slowly began to fall back to her side. “The beach was calling my name to be honest,” she admitted, letting her eyes slide back over to the waves momentarily before returning her attention back to the blonde.

—— ☾ Gentle laughter shot from her before she could retrieve it. Blaise had completely forgotten about the cameras. && most of this was to vent out her left over emotions stirring inside her.

“Is that so? Well I’m Blaise, && correct me if I’m wrong but your Anabelle? Or was I totally off?” A warm smile as she met her at the awkward coupling ceremony near the pool but it’s not like they had anytime to talk at all. Reaching down Blaise handed Anabelle her phone so she could choose the next song. Not that the speakers were great but she loved if Anabelle joined her with the comforts of a song that made her happy or got her groove on.

“It would be an honor if you joined me m i l a d y. Just don’t laugh to hard at my dance moves.” Now that her mood was lighten she was going to have a little quirky fun.

SEBASTIAN FACILIER.

ₓ˚. ୭ ˚○◦ THE BEACH SAT RIGHT THERE, BEGGING FOR EXCITEMENT. he hadn’t grown up near a beach and hadn’t spent much time around it. but that wasn’t just because of his location, but more because the thought of sand everywhere drove him insane and he didn’t want to have to think about it. however, sebastian found himself intrigued, at least by the water, wanting to know if it was as blue and beautiful as everyone said it was. his feet brought him through the sand, and his mind tried desperately to keep from cringing at the feeling of sand underneath his feet. it was incredibly obvious that sebastian was not a beach person and that wasn’t about to change any time soon.

as he walked through this frustrating sand, he watched as a blonde moved through the waves with ease, wondering how you learned you were even good at that. the thought of spending that much time in the salt water, where he couldn’t always touch the bottom seemed like an awful idea. sebastian was impressed. as she put her board in the sand and started dancing, he couldn’t help but laugh. by this point, he was almost directly behind her, a laugh slipping through his lips. “oh mon dieu. you’re having quite a bit of fun,” he stated before placing his hands in his pockets. “how’d you even learn to do that?”

—— ☾ If there was one thing she was it was oblivious to her surroundings as she didn’t even know he was around. Blaise nearly jumped out of her own skin as he startled her but it didn’t show thanks to her hair whipping, dancing && leather jacket concealing her goosebumps. Catching a glimpse through dripping wet rivulets of blond hair whipping to the side with a half side turn. Eyes widening && a bit of an intriguing smile appeared on her features as she wondered if he knew actual french or was he just being cute? Melting at the sight of him. This guy was so very handsome, but the closer she got he seemed to make her senses stand on edge. Feeling an obscurity emanate from him. Taking advantage of the feelings pulsing through her.
