Kaname breathed out a sigh of relief when he finally made it to Ember Island. It was extremely lush, warm, and humid. There were many tourists, and the setting was beautiful. For this particular hit job, he was going to go after a wealthy businessman who was staying at one of the luxurious hotels here. Their specific client wanted him to not only kill the man, but they also wanted him to deliver the severed head. The client probably wished to make sure the job had been properly carried out.
To keep a low profile, Kaname was going to stay at one of the hotels, which catered more to families and younger people. Unfortunately, he wasn’t alone. He preferred to be by himself, but he wouldn’t be left alone by another, and quite frankly, annoying Spirit.
That spirit’s name was Chizuru. For some stupid, asinine reason, Chizuru loved to bother him regardless of his own feelings. And even though Chizuru wasn’t going to be paid for this job, he still decided to tag along with Kaname. He had no idea why Chizuru wished to come, but Kaname didn’t like it at all.
And yes, he already tried to lose him, but in the end, Chizuru always managed to find him. Feeling tired of playing a cat-and-mouse game, Kaname just let Chizuru do whatever, even if that meant Kaname would be stuck with him the whole time.
Over the years, as he spent time with Chizuru, Kaname noticed how he loved being amused by humans and their ways. He was sure Chizuru would more than likely enjoy himself here on Ember Island.
“Do you like it here?” Kaname casually asked, looking over at Chizuru.
There weren’t many things to do in the human world, than observe those that would pique the redhead’s interest. Chizuru had read and interacted with humans before in the human world. Although, most of them were from the Afterlife they still held valuable information... Or plainly, it was just fun in general to mess with them.
Aside from humans though, they weren’t the only ones that could provide some form of amusement for Chizuru. He had always been a mischievous one even to his own kind, either becoming an annoyance or predator to said Spirits. Within the Ryuujin gang, there was one other spirit that Chizuru liked to poke fun at.
He had heard of Kaname before, rumours about him tend to circle around gossipy mouths. It was no surprise for Chizuru’s ear to hear upon chattering mouths dark stories that would interest him. What was Chizuru, if not an informant.
With the stories told to him, he had set out on his mission to Kaname... To annoy him most of the time.
“Maybe?” Chizuru retorted back as he sat on a beach chair, eating a bowl of grapes that were clearly not the type of food appropriate for the scene. Every now and then, he would throw a piece to people. Sometimes children, but most of the time adults. He would throw them far and fast, enjoying the looks of bafflement of the humans who would grow angry at his schemes.
“Why’d you ask?” Chizuru returned a question back to Kaname as he pulled his shades down a tad to look at him directly. “Are you starting to like it here?” He teased, throwing a lone grape at the kitsune.
“Don’t tell me you want to settle down in an island,” Chizuru tut-ed, shaking his head in disapproval. “Never would’ve imagined.” He chuckled.
