Mixed Bunch - Quick and Easy Birthday Card
The request has been made to run some papercraft classes at my place of employment. The classes need to be simple and easy to follow as the ages and skill levels of the participants vary. This is what I came up with and how I went about it.
Step 1. Cut 1 piece of white cardstock lengthwise down the page in half. Trim so that it measures 29cm x 10.5cm.
Step 2. Score white piece of cut you just cut at 14.5cm and fold in half. Press with boner to give a fresh sharp fold.
Step 3. Cut 1 piece of black cardstock to 14.5cm x 5.25cm.
¿
Step 4. Cut a small strip from the long edge of the black card. About .5cm is fine.
Step 5. It's time to stamp!! Ink up your favourite greeting. I used "Itty Bitty Banners" and position in the bottom right hand corner of the card. ¿Put it as close as you can to the edge without going over. Using liquid glue stick the black strips on the other side as shown. I prefer liquid glue as it allows you to manouver the cardstock to get it nice and straight.
Step 6. While your waiting for the glue to dry, stamp out your favourite flowers. I used Mixed Bunch for mine. And then punch or fussy cut around the flower.
Step 7. Using glue dots or trail adhesive stick the flowers on the front of the card. I curled the petals a little bit to give some depth to the flowers.
Step 8. Add a bit of bling to the centre of the flowers to smarten it all up.
And there you have the final product. A quick and simple card in less than half an hour!! Items used: Stampin' Up! "Itty Bitty Banners" Stamp Set Stampin' Up!
