I'm already into another #Montreal Festival season. I finished up the Montreal Fringe Festival a couple weeks ago (June 7-17). Was busy photographing performances and outdoor events in Fringe Park. This is a 2 part entry. Part 1 was the 1st half of the festival: from dance shows to live band at the park. One person shows and late night adventures during the 13th Hour (late night talk show). Merci/thank you @fringemtl for another great edition. It was a unique, open experience for the 2018 edition. The content in shows were raw, real and continuing a dialogue that we, the audience, find ourselves dealing with more and more. There was still a need to celebrate the hard work the artists, volunteers and staff have put in these last couple weeks. I took this photo before the Frankies last night at @clubsodamtl. @amybmore and @kennystreule getting ready to put on the last show of the 2018 edition. It was a successful #tourlanuit tonight. Those that didn't know what happened the last time: last year I had a flat tire in the rain in the dark...in St Henri. This year, the weather, the roads and the route was on my side. Riding through the North East neighbourhoods, having people on the streets and balconies cheer on and high-fiving kids. Glad the weather held up. Made a quick stop to grab a photo of cyclists with the sunset. Checked out the off-igloo event at @igloofest_mtl this afternoon. Most of the music was happening on the small stage. The main stage was getting ready for tonight's last event. Time for the first Merci/thank you of 2018. Ah yes, January will always be a tricky month for myself (and most people). Montreal winters keep getting harsher and difficult to deal with. Maybe it does affect me even more along with other things going on this past month but like this weather, once we overcome the worst of it we'll be alright. It hasn't been too bad, there has been beauty and calm between snowstorms. Slowly getting out when the weather permits, including an incredible time at @igloofest_mtl. I guess I'm known to have a slow start to the year but thanks to my furry visitor, it's been a great end of month.
