PT2 to this because I’ve been neglecting The creatures
Cuphead began to laugh, the sound of his laughter filling the empty forests silence. Boris could only roll his eyes as his ears stayed pinned down against his skull.
“Oh god, seriously!? You, a big brute, are afraid to eat living beings?!” Cuphead asked as he approached, grabbing the werewolf by his collar and tugging him down to eye level.
“You’re pathetic to tie yourself to some lousy morals. So what, you take a life, you feel bad, big deal. Creatures like us need to eat or we’ll die.” Cuphead huffed before shoving the wolf back.
“Stop being stupid and just go find some Toon to devour.”
But the wolf refused. He shook his head as a scowl formed on his face. He had no interest in eating a Toon, no matter his current state, or the fact it was pure instinct to just devour another life, he couldn’t bring himself to do it.
And as much as Cuphead believed he was stupidly foolish, he couldn’t help but admire his perseverance, to endure hunger as long as it meant to avoid eating a Toon. But his stubbornness could be fatal one day.
“I’ll help you,” Cuphead says with a matter of fact Tone.
“I don’t want your help,” Boris huffed, “I don’t need it.”
“Would you rather have something to eat or starve and die?” Cuphead asked, and Boris opened his mouth to argue back, but honestly, he didn’t want to starve any longer. He might grow sick if he does..or even Die from hunger.
The wolf quickly shut his mouth and nodded his head, he wasn’t used to receiving help...Not from strangers. But even as he reluctantly accepted his help, he couldn’t help but feel as if there was something wrong here.
“Fine,” Boris mumbled, then the Cup held his hand out, and smirked widely at him.
“Go on, shake it.” Cuphead grinned, and as much as Boris found it strange, he wasn’t a sophisticated person. This must’ve been some weird gesture toons did in the city, he momentarily hesitated before shaking his hand, his eyes missing the glow that formed in their handshake and the slight flash of chains binding them.
Then Cuphead let go of his hand and dusted his hand, Boris’s nose wrinkled at the sight of him acting as if he was some germ. The vampire began to walk ahead of him. Boris began to walk right behind him, but it wasn’t long before Cuphead looked over his shoulder and stopped him in his tracks.
“Just wait here, you’re like a child. You have no idea what to do,” Cuphead scoffed as he fixed his glove on his wrist before walking away, leaving Boris on his own.
Some time went by, two hours to be exact. And Boris was growing frustrated. Maybe he was just lying, Why would a vampire help a werewolf of all creatures in this damned forest?
He stood up from his seated position, and he was going to just walk away, until he heard rustling in the bushes, and the loud sound of something heavy being dragged.
The looked over his shoulder, and there the vampire was, dragging a large bear carcass in his right hand, a cigarette held to his mouth with the left hand.
Boris couldn’t almost believe his eyes. That would be just enough to cure his hunger for a week. Cuphead didn’t even have to say anything, it didn’t long for the werewolf to lurch forward and feed on the corpse. Cuphead ducked and backed away quickly before the large wolf could mistakenly pounce on him.
He took a seat by a nearby tree, watching the wolf feed and eat, and slowly as the minute went, the wolfs size began to shrink. From his current large 8 feet frame, he shrunk down to a somewhat smaller size, 6’10…
But he was still a wolf. I guess that was the only thing that was just part of him and not just part of the curse.
Cuphead hadn’t even realized he was staring for too long, he only snapped out of it when the Wolf spoke.
“Why are you helping me?” Boris asked, he faced with a blood covered muzzle, but underneath the nasty sight of blood, he could make out his face. And he definitely looked a bit attractive, not that he would admit it.
“Because, I felt bad.” Cuphead said as he slowly stood up, fidgeting with his cigarette between his lips. He dusted himself off, before his hand reached out into the thin air, and tugged on the air. At first it seemed like nothing, until Boris felt an almost tug on his wrists.
Then there was a glowing chain. It led from his throat, all the way to Cupheads own wrist.
“But also because I’ve been wanting a servant around my home. And no mortal will do, but a creature like you..” Cuphead murmured as he approached, his shoes crunching the dead leaves beneath the soles of his boots.
“..You will do. Now you’re bound and in debt to me. As I’ve saved your life now, and you owe me one.” Cuphead grinned, the confused look on the wolfs face was satisfying, he looked like a lost puppy almost, and very quickly, he snarled, but he couldn’t bite or attack now, as he technically had his soul In a contract now.
