Synopsis;Your in denial of your feelings for Jiji ,but Momo and her friends aren’t having it .

Study,school,more studying.
That's how your life pretty much was .You didn’t really have a different middle school experience ,so it's not that you weren’t expecting something else.But you still know your life is weirder now ,mainly because of the new friends you’d manage to make.
But one thing was off , or at least different about the way you interacted with one of those friends .
He was the childhood friend of your classmate Momo ,and was the most extroverted person you’d ever talked to. But he was warm and inviting when you did talk to him,so you naturally were drawn to him .He definitely talked to you a lot as well.You thought this just seemed like regular Jiji behavior.
When he was around you thought ,it made you feel “werid”.Not in a bad way ,but in a way you hadn’t felt before.It definitely wasn’t negative ,but it still was kinda odd.With all the paranormal around you ,your first thought was “it’s just cause he has the evil eye inside him.”So you talked to Okarun ,who also had a spirit “inside “him. Surely he would understand.
“No,I don't feel weird around Jiji at all’.Okarun was surprised by your question ,and answered like he had no idea what you were talking about."We've been hanging out more and more recently so I'm confused why you’d say that”.You sigh ,clearly you aren't conveying your feelings correctly.
“Oh come on,you've never felt like a bubble in your chest or like you have to run away whenever he gets too close”.Hoping that going for the more emotional route when explaining could help get your point across.It didn’t.
He nodded no,looking at you confused.Now you felt even more lost on what to do.”Maybe try talking to Miss Ayase about this,This issue sounds like something she could figure out”.You take a moment to think.Girls can deal with emotions better then guys normally do anyway,and Momo fought with evil eye too.This was a next perfect lead.You thanked Okarun and ran over to the vending machines where you knew you’d find her.
Trying to get some pompe for her friends ,you stop her working at the machine.”Yo ,what’s up y/n?”
You try to phrase your feelings differently this time ,so you don’t have the same conversation again,”Do you ever feel this flustered feeling whenever Jiji comes around?”You think that this is a better depiction of what you were feeling.But the blank face momo makes ,says otherwise.
“Say what now .”She just blinks.Her face quickly changes though,to a look of surprise.You're not too sure why,until she yells out loud “OHHHHH WAIT wait, do you LIKE JIJI!!”You quickly covered her mouth,due to the fact that she was now yelling ,laughing and pointing at you in the hallway.
You both got into a tugging war in the corner of the hallway as you pushed her to an empty classroom.
“What are you talking about ,I don't like jiji”This whole conversation makes your face feel warm.How could she think about you ,especially since it's most definitely not true.....right?
Momo snaps you out of your thoughts ,ripping your hand off her face”Yea-ah you totally do ,don’t go all crazy on me just cause you didn’t know that yourself”She glares at you harshly for having this reaction.”You know,”she continues “I thought you might like him but I didn’t wanna say anything to make you uncomfortable.“
You now completely let go of her ,you're so flustered you lose control of your own body.”Stop saying I like him like that,that’s-“your voice shrinks at the end of your sentence “not true”.
Momos faces getting smug now”Oh really,ok I’ll just go tell him that “.She turns turns around on her heel ,but you can still hear the smile in her voice”I remember hearing that he likes you,but if you don’t feel the same-“
Your head snaps up and your posture straightens in response.“WAIT really are you serious Momo where,what,how???”.You’re asking 199 questions a second,running your brain into circles.Momo walks away and you follow her,your mind still thinking about what she said.
You don’t even realize you're moving until you make it to the classroom and she slows down ,back bumping into your head.Its not enough to knock you down,but what does feel like it can ,is the sight of Momo's friends,talking to Jiji.
Before you can walk away from this trap ,momo grabs your hand and heads inside the classroom.It's too late to run from your predestined fate.
“Hey guys”waving at them with your hand she isn’t dragging you with”Look who I brought “she gives a knowing look to her two friends.
Ohh no they know,it’s so over.
“Y/n,looking as sharp as ever I see. “Jiji points out in the most Jiji voice possible .You feel the warmth again,then you the girl giggle as you walk closer to them.
You ignore them and try to take a seat ,before one of them takes your chair and moves it next to Jiji.
“It’s better if you sit here .”Miko explains as she moves your chair,your stare at them all as their giggles and smug expressions only spread out more.You spend the rest your lunch there ,not much to your choice .Every time you trying moving,you were stopped by one the girls.You thought that was a big misunderstanding and you didn’t actually like Jiji.Momo is being crazy like she always is.
But the others saw something different .The glow of your smile as you laugh at Jiji's jokes and how he looks at you after he makes them ,like he was making them just to see you laugh.Oh yea ,this was golden.
Eventually though,your torturers lunch had finally come to an end ,and you get up from your seat without being tackled down.”The bells gonna ring any second now ,so I’m going head back “you’d got up and were about to wave everyone bye before Jiji pushed he chair back quick to get up.
“Let me walk you class ma’am “He stands up straight and poses like giving a salute .You smile at his silliness,and become him to follow you as you leave the class together.
You start walking the way you have to and quickly say”Sorry I know my class is far,and that your just being nice-“He cuts you off.
“What ,no I honestly like walking around with you,I wish I walk longer with you “He doesn’t quiet that last part of the sentence,and that makes you feel odd again.He looks at you and, you look off to the side this time .Seeing your face flushed,he decides to keep pushing.”Aw y/n you like when I walking to class with me too!?”
All you think to do in your head is deny, deny, deny,but it doesn’t come out quick enough.In your case how else could you have answered that question?You hear him laughing at a lack of response verbally,because your body language says enough.
Whatever that may be ?You're not sure yourself.
You see the door of the classroom ,and turn to face Jiji.He's still in a daze from his laugh fit and as you look at his face that you could describe comes back.He opens his eyes to look at you,and for a second, you can’t feel anything but that feeling.It's only when the bell rings to snap out it.
“OHCRAPIMLATE “,your words are rushed and incoherent as you speak.Before you can totally run away from him ,you smile at Jiji ,”Thank you”is all you get out before sprinting away.
You don’t see it,but it takes a second for him to move away from your classroom door.Stund by reaction ,more specifically your smile.By the time he’s able to get his legs to move,he’s running back to his class.He got a bus of energy from your happiness,thinking as he gets back “I’m totally doing that every single day”
You’re not sure how exactly you feel yet ,but it’s not bad.As both of you walked into your class ,both your classmates saw just lovesick y’all were.It was gonna be a long year for sure.
