Thinking about how Will provides Mack with enrichment (through their little side quests) outside of hockey. And it’s really sweet if you think about it. Like, awww he’s just an oversized puppy and he needs to go for a run or he will chew your shoes (or chew on wsh).

On a serious note though, I think it’s so sweet that the important people in Mack’s life acknowledge how good their relationship (whether is platonic or not) is for Mack; Will lets him relax, allows him to be a normal guy without hockey and the weight of a franchise on his shoulders.

what if i took my cross off to get you off in the bathroom at my sister’s friend’s dog’s birthday party and when i was on my knees in front of you looking up the familiar weight on my chest got replaced by a weight in my heart and when i whispered your name into the sweaty hollow of your throat when you got me back it felt a lot like devotion so instead of looping it back on my chain when we got home i put the cross in the drawer of the nightstand on the side of the bed where you’ll sleep later and i looked up at the stars that night when everyone else had long gone to bed but we were still sitting by the pool with your head pillowed on my thighs while you told me about how glad you were to be here and the stars twinkled back at me in such a way where it felt like maybe me and the big man upstairs had an understanding that the cross would find its way back around my neck eventually but for these next few nights it could stay curled up in that drawer and you could be the thing i answer to instead and you could be the one watching me sleep and watching me sin and guiding me down to my knees and i’d like to think he’d be okay with that and he’d look down at the two of us tangled up by the pool with your weight heavy on my lap and call it good work

can’t believe spittin chiclets confirmed that scene in ccb where mack is adjusting wills grip during golf. FOR TEN MINUTES

Spittin' Chiclets recap:

Whit went golfing with Will & Mack last week. They golfed 18 holes & spent like 4-5 hours together

They had a friendly bet riding on the winner of the game. Will & Mack weren't playing well, but they kept going double or nothing as the game was getting towards the end. They kept losing.

On the very last hole, they asked to go double or nothing again. Mack & Will then spent about 10 minutes strategizing how to win, repositioning the putter & changing hand positions, etc & discussing the best way to approach it. It worked. Mack ended up beating Whit & they won the money. (This was all filmed so maybe one day we'll see footage.)

I'm choosing to interpret this as Willmack running a long con on Whit, total hustle lol. (Others may interpret this as luck)

They trained hard in Van. Morning skate, then hit the track, then afternoon skate. Then they came to Boston & did another week of training

They did go to Chatham on the Cape before heading to Nantucket. (Unclear if they went back to Chatham after)

Whit & Biz had nothing but positive things to say about Mack, what a nice & normal & hardworking guy he is, and thought his contract was well-deserved

Whit mentioned how stoked Mack is about all the talent on the team & has really high expectations for what they're going to be able to do

Small Collin Graf mention too, about his contract extension & him being a good skater

look at the smile on will's face. he knows mack is just teasing, but you can see how easily he indulges him. that fond little smile says it all.
