I’m just appreciating this again. First, props to the conductor and pit for paying attention. Second, she doesn’t scramble whatsoever, she’s like “I have all the time in the world”. She improvises all the little gestures as if it is HELENA who is a bit annoyed at the inconvenience of her unwieldy jewelry and then breathes in like “pull yourself together” which fits perfectly with both the song and the woman she is portraying who was quite emotional, but hid it entirely in public. Holy cow.
