Story based on events revolving around my long-hiatus’d RP account for my Legend of Korra OC.
Dunno how much I’ll be adding to it, but I was proud of the character concept so figured, what the hell, use the bell.

Yes, I'm well aware of the length of time, thank you.
Ah. I see. But that doesn't seem like Noatak. (the-man-of-the-mask-no-longer). [She shrugs] So how many years did they give you?
...Noawhat? In any case, they've given me forty years.
How are you doing today?
Well enough, though troubled to hear that Amon may have returned and is attempting to restart the old ways of the Equalists.

Hazo blinked. After a few moments, he blinked again. And then, just for fun, he blinked a third time. Had she seriously just asked him that? He couldn’t even imagine why she would be asking such things. But there was obviously a reason for it and considering how strongly she felt against the Equalists, at least what he took from her, he got the impression that this was not out of a desire to remove bending from the world. Not that that was the Equalists’ goals now.
He hoped.
“Understand,” he began, “that the Equalists were not exactly selective about who they let join. Most of our recruiting was done at the rallies. There were always certain sleeper agents in the city that would seek out potential candidates for recruiting. But now with the attack on the city and public opinion turned against them, I imagine that things have changed.”
Hazo sat back in his seat, watching the private eye evenly, “What exactly is this about?”
She furtively glanced around then leaned forward so that she was close enough to whisper to him, “Nothing I say leaves this room…” she said, “As you may have heard, Amon’s back, I don’t know how but you and I certainly know why. I need to infiltrate the Equalists, I need to find out his plans.”
Hazo’s eyes widened as she confided this information to him. This was not something he had expected, but was, somehow, inevitable, as much as he wanted to deny it. This time, it was not just rumors, but fact.
Amon was back.
“Bolt…” he shook his head, “even if Amon is back, what makes you so sure that the Equalists would accept him as leader again? Are they not moving in a different direction than the old regime?”
“Amon has a way with words, he’s charismatic, he knows how to sway the public in his opinion… how else could he have gotten nearly the whole city under his control? He has a plan and he already has followers,” she said, closing her eyes for a second and trying to think about what to say.
“Look, Hazo,” she continued, “if I don’t learn what his new plans are and try to stop him, he’s going to try to Equalize the world again and I think that’s the last thing both benders and nonbenders need.”
Hazo sighed, furrowing his brow. There was no denying the truth in her words. The city was still trying to heal its old wounds and if Amon was planning on reigniting his old ways, he'd be adding a bit more salt to those wounds. He was silent for a few moments, thinking it over.
"I only know so much about the current state of the Equalists." he finally said, "The movement is being led either by Amon's former lieutenant or sister Kason. Ano was our agent at the Jasmine Dragon Tea Shop, but he's... not around anymore. Your best bet would be to approach Yin Li. She was our girl in the business district."

Bolt walked into the prison with a purpose, greeting the guards with a curt nod, and up to the main office, “I need to speak with one of your prisoners,” she said to the man at the desk, “His name’s Hazo.”
The guard nodded and stood up, “Right this way miss,” he said, leading her to a separate room for interviews, “He’ll be up here soon.”
The woman nodded, taking a seat at one end of the table, while she appeared calm on the outside, she was anything but on the inside. Did she know what she was getting herself into? What risks were involved? The interview with Hazo would clear up a few things for her hopefully, if she was going to go through with this, she’d need all the information she could get.
She was only hoping he’d be willing to give it to her.
A visitor? This early? Hazo wasn’t complaining. It had only been a few days since his incarceration and staring at the same bare, bleak walls had gotten tiring. He went along with the guards briskly, briefly wondering if it was Naising.
His thoughts turned to surprise and a bit of confusion as he was led into the interview room and he saw Bolt at the end of the table. The private eye? What could she be doing here…?
He lowered into the chair across from her, nodding slightly in greeting, “Detective. What brings you here?”
Bolt saw them bring in Hazo, he seemed different from the man who she talked to months before when the roles were reversed and he was the one visiting her in prison. When he asked her what she was doing here she took a deep breath, “How do I join the Equalists?”

They say he's alive. That he's back in the city.
