When people say that women who wear revealing clothing or get drunk deserve to be raped, what they are really saying is that women deserve to be raped. Since wearing revealing clothing simply exposes more of a woman’s body, and drinking takes away her ability to make choices like consenting to sex, we can conclude that people who say these things honestly believe that a woman’s body is inherently public property to be used for sex if she she is not diligent enough about covering and protecting it from others.
