One of my favorite aspects about Dante is much of a women's ally he is. Despite all his Sa trauma he faced in the books he will still defend any girl in harm. Being mugged?, he would casually punch the culprit and go about his day. I know it sounds like I am probably stretching it but its nice to know that fictional men like Dante exist especially due to the fact that I feel like I am never going to be truly safe from things such as Sa.

Dmc ship flower headcanons part 1

Nero x Kyrie

Marigolds: represent death often used to celebrate Dias de Los Muertos to create paths that cleanse the dead souls but in other cultures such the as Appalachians believed that if you hung it on doors you can keep evil away as well as if you place in church anyone that is unfaithful will be lost in church. During the Victorian period they were also used to aid in times of grief. Dreams were said to be given by owners that granted protective power and spiritual gifts.With this it can be said that Marigolds represent the light and even strength of a person.

This not only aligns to Kyrie due to the religious undertones but also the fact that like Marigolds shes often was there for Nero when death was beside him. its said that ever since childhood the only people Nero could rely on was Kyrie and her brother Credo.Even then there was point in Neros life where he had no one beside him as he felt the unrelenting pain of loneliness. The fact that he was able to see past that was thanks to Kyrie's patience and overall unconditional love for him. By the end of Dmc 4 he was able to save her and fortuna from the priest but faced another lost when Dante, the person he was starting to look up to, lefted. Like marigolds ability to protect people as a remedy that heals things such as sore throats she was able to protect Nero from feeling that familler frustration of loneliness again.

The same can be said in Dmc 5 where she was always there for him through calls that up his sprits and off scene after Dmc 5 to aid with the absence of a Vergil and Dante . Even with all of this I wanna make it clear in my ramble that she too was surrounded in death. From the death of Credo, her older brother, to her parents, and to top it off her own life was danger. Everything she knew fell shambles and everyone wouldn't be surprise if she gave up and broke down, yet she didn't let her lost change her as a person. She kept singing, cooking for orphans and Nero, and even saw the good in everyone by let strangers sometimes join the dinner table. That power is what not only others to feel safe and in tone around her but for herself was able to have the strength to be in control of her decisions. Unlike characters like Vergil she didn't feel the need to prove some point to make others feel or believe what she does. She gave others what they needed and wanted then let them decide how to go on because she believed in them. Kyrie didn't hope for love she created it and spread like the marigold she is growing above death.

Blue Delphiniums: Delphiniums are a highly poisonous plant yet are used to aid in things such as insomnia. In Greek mythology Delphiniums came from Ajax, a Greek Trojan warrior hero who was killed in combat. His blood formed petals that spelled Ai meaning alas. Witches also used it for love potions as they thought it symbolize big bigheartedness and Egyptians saw it also thought of it as rebirth as it bloom after each year. Blue delphiniums specifically resemble dignity,grace, youth,good fortune, good will, joy and encouragement. Nero life was filled with unpredictability as I stated before but I think my choice for this plant to symbolize him was propelled when I found out that in flower language translates to " give me a conclusion answer soon". This could show Nero's craving for some kind of comfortable stability that is a double edge sword to his need for connection but also self hatred for his anger issues. Delphiniums are poisonous to the touch and by eating despite their reputation about love. It can cause irritability and even for the heart to stop functioning.

Their soil often needs to have different soil compared to other flowers due to their heavy eating and delicately. This parallels with Nero's need for patience and understanding in a relationship especially with his irritability. Even through his self isolation though it shows his devotion to care for others through using his acts of protectiveness to speak for him. Rather that be him rocking Dante the first time he saw him or his unintentional aid to V that led to helping Vergil find his humanity. In dmc 4 when he was given the Yamato by Dante it seemed that his life while not perfect was heading to a bittersweet that was until however Vergil came back and took his arm.

Since then Nero had to go through conflicts that challenged his sense of self worth once more with Dante calling him dead weight only twisting the blade. In order for delphiniums to grow they need to have their seeds taken from them and be stored for next season. Some seed pods crunch up and die out while others split those of which are used to grow new ones. With Nero constantly having to fight to protect those he love it often leads him having to switch parts of his self such as through his devil arm .By the end of Dmc 5 you could say that the real reason he beat Vergil was because he beat his feelings of insecurity something that Vergil still had. Thus embracing the end of chasing certainty to instead rely on himself furthermore re birthed his sense of self.
