Imagine Master Fu calling Ladybug and Chat Noir to his “office”. He tells them that they might benefit from having a third teammate, and gives them one of the Miraculous to give to somebody they trust.

Chat Noir immediately gets excited. “I know exactly who! Ladybug, what about Marinette Dupain-Cheng???”

Master Fu and Ladybug just kinda stare. “Uhh………” they say in unison.

So, I’ve personally never seen any posts supporting or praising writers who have a clean, sparse style so this is one’s for them. Don’t let anyone tell you you’re a bad writer just because you don’t write flowery, extravagant prose full of metaphors and obscure words. Vocabulary and metaphors aren’t the only things that makes writing “good”. Rhythm, tone, clarity, word choice, and voice also makes writing good. And you know what? You can achieve that with minimal description and a complete lack of metaphors. Your writing, no matter how minimalist it is, is just as valid and just as good as pretty, flowery prose.

I think its interesting that Old Xian decided to bring this up, as people with symptoms of Hyperactive-Impulsive ADHD will often:

Leave their seat in the classroom or in other situations in which remaining seated is expected

Interrupting conversations or speaking out of turn

Fidget with their hands or feet or squirm in their seat

Trouble engaging in quiet activities, “bugs” other people

Be ‘on the go’ or act as if ‘driven by a motor’, running from place to place

Banging into people or objects

Constantly jumping or climbing on inappropriate places

Impulsive, not thinking about consequences of actions

I don’t think its a coincidence that Jian Yi literally has every single symptom (has old xian been basing his personality off this disorder?) I’m glad we finally have a reason for his crazy behavior- he has the second type of ADHD, impulsive
