In short period of time they were stranded together on an alien spaceship Tony managed to get Nebula to open up without fear of being punished for it, he put a band-aid on years and years of horrors Thanos made her endure. She was always compassionate and had a great potential for good, but with Thanos she was too afraid to show it and was bullied into feeling the constant desire to live up to his expectations.
Tony made her feel she was good enough, he did not treat her like a weapon, he was not afraid of her and she knew she had his complete and utter trust.
Nebula helped him greatly on the spaceship and was a terrific companion, she later became a very valuable member of Avengers who continued to treat her as their equal and not a threat.
Tony created a path on which Nebula finally found herself, her happiness and serenity.

how do cats even work
Cats:
A cat can jump up to five times its own height in a single bound.
The little tufts of hair in a cat’s ear that help keep out dirt direct sounds into the ear, and insulate the ears are called “ear furnishings.”
The ability of a cat to find its way home is called “psi-traveling.” Experts think cats either use the angle of the sunlight to find their way or that cats have magnetized cells in their brains that act as compasses.
One reason that kittens sleep so much is because a growth hormone is released only during sleep.
A cat has 230 bones in its body. A human has 206. A cat has no collarbone, so it can fit through any opening the size of its head.
A cat’s nose pad is ridged with a unique pattern, just like the fingerprint of a human.
If they have ample water, cats can tolerate temperatures up to 133 °F.
A cat’s heart beats nearly twice as fast as a human heart, at 110 to 140 beats a minute.
Cats don’t have sweat glands over their bodies like humans do. Instead, they sweat only through their paws.
The claws on the cat’s back paws aren’t as sharp as the claws on the front paws because the claws in the back don’t retract and, consequently, become worn.
Cats make about 100 different sounds. Dogs make only about 10.
Researchers are unsure exactly how a cat purrs. Most veterinarians believe that a cat purrs by vibrating vocal folds deep in the throat. To do this, a muscle in the larynx opens and closes the air passage about 25 times per second.
A cat almost never meows at another cat, mostly just humans. Cats typically will spit, purr, and hiss at other cats.
A cat’s back is extremely flexible because it has up to 53 loosely fitting vertebrae. Humans only have 34.
Some cats have survived falls of over 65 feet (20 meters), due largely to their “righting reflex.” The eyes and balance organs in the inner ear tell it where it is in space so the cat can land on its feet. Even cats without a tail have this ability.
A cat can travel at a top speed of approximately 31 mph (49 km) over a short distance.
A cat’s hearing is better than a dog’s. And a cat can hear high-frequency sounds up to two octaves higher than a human.
A cat’s brain is biologically more similar to a human brain than it is to a dog’s. Both humans and cats have identical regions in their brains that are responsible for emotions.
And that’s how cats work.
I learned more about cats in this post than I did in my freshamn biology class in college
That first gif. Gets my heart. My cat does that sorta. When he wants up he puts his paws up on my leg, stretching out so I can get him under his arms and lift him up. It’s my favorite moment coming home from work.

You gotta ask the right questions in life.
Wasn’t he fighting against the autopilot that was busted or something, so that was the only way to make sure it actually crashed and didn’t revert back to its flight path?
Been awhile since I watched TFA but I seem to remember Steve needing to be absolutely sure that the plane didn’t crash anywhere near a populated area and that’s why he stayed on board. And I didn’t see any parachutes in the plane either.
Of course the notes are full of people shitting on Steve. Awesome.
I am… so OVER people shitting on Steve for this. The autopilot— on a plane he’d never before piloted— was busted. Inoperable. It was loaded with bombs that would have devastated any civilian population, so he stayed to force it down with the least loss of life.
And as for the parachute thing? I didn’t see any, and it’s not like he knew (as the Steve of TWS did) that he could jump from that height and survive. (Though whether he could survive jumping into water that cold is another issue.)
So, if what you see in that moment of sacrifice is a stupid man who could have jumped, hurr durr… I don’t know what to say. I really don’t. 🙄🤦🏻♀️
It’s much clearer in the shooting script:
Transcript:
Steve stares at the New York map, radio in hand. HIS COMPASS lies open on the control board.
PEGGY CARTER Give me your coordinates. I’ll find a safe landing site–
STEVE There isn’t going to be a landing. Schmidt’s locked the navigation system.
Steve eyes THE REDLINED ENGINE GAUGES in front of him.
STEVE (cont’d) And there’s more than enough power to reach the East Coast.
Peggy looks grave. She waves Colonel Phillips down.
PEGGY CARTER I’ll get Howard on the line. He’ll know what to do.
STEVE I’m sitting on a hundred tons of explosives. Hotwiring this thing’s not an option.
He looks out the window at the vast, blue expanse of ocean.
STEVE (cont’d) I’ve got to put her in the water.

Peggy spreads her fingers on the wall, her knuckles white.
PEGGY CARTER But you said you couldn’t steer it.
Steve scans the control panel. HE SPOTS A THICK CABLE RUNNING FROM THE IGNITION TO THE ENGINES.
STEVE I can’t. But I think I can crash it.
HE YANKS THE CABLE OUT. BLUE SPARKS FLARE. THEN ALL THE LIGHTS DIE. THE ENGINES STOP. THE PLANE GOES QUIET.
PEGGY CARTER Steve, don’t do this. We’ve got time. We can figure this out.
Steve eyes THE NAVIGATION CHARTS.
STEVE I already did. Right now, I’m in the middle of nowhere. If I wait any longer, a lot of people are going to get hurt.
(beat)
Peggy, this is my choice.
Peggy and Phillips look at each other, slowly accepting what’s happening.
PEGGY CARTER We’ll send out rescue ships. We’ll find you.
STEVE I don’t think there’s going to be much left to find.
STEVE LEANS ON THE STICK WITH ALL HIS MIGHT.
