10 of the best lightweight buggies
Check out our reviews of the best streamlined strollers
3 things to consider when buying a lightweight buggy
1. Can you use it from birth?
Many lightweight buggies are only suitable from 6mths, as their seats don’t recline to a lie-flat position. There are options designed for use from birth, with fully reclining seats, or a detachable carrycot.
2. How will you be using it?
If you want to use your lightweight buggy every day, it has to be sturdy. For a holiday, buy cheap – in case it gets lost or damaged – and light, because who needs heavy luggage? If it’s a spare for the grandparents’ house, go for a compact fold.
3. Where will you use it?
If you will be travelling across rough ground, pick a more expensive model with pneumatic (air-filled) tyres.
