Geometric, graphic style prints by dutch artist Louis Reith are incredibly considered — i love them as much in black and white as in colour. Colours used are fresh and clean. Inspiring stuff!

'Rice is something you take for granted, but is so special'. Last night I went to Sadler's Wells to see 'Rice'. This excerpt of the Cloud Gate Dance Theatre's (Asia's leading contemporary dance company) production was one of the parts in the performance that touched me the most. I became mesmerised and kept what seemed to feel like waking up, but not from sleep —Just loosing myself in the music and the movement played out in front of my eyes. It was beautiful and highlighted to me the power of simplicity of idea. How one core, continuous theme running throughout a production or project ( in this case the constant, changing projections of the landscapes and rice fields, inspired by the childhood and the memories of celebrated choreographer Lin Hwai-Min) kept the whole thing together so honestly. Co-produced by Sadler’s Wells, Rice was created to celebrate Cloud Gate’s 40th anniversary, and is inspired by the landscape and story of Chihshang in the East Rift Valley of Taiwan. Previously tainted by the use of chemical fertilizer, this farming village has now regained its title as Land of Emperor Rice by adopting organic farming. Featuring folksongs in Hakka - the oldest among the existing Chinese dialects - and operatic arias from the West, this is a stunning, thought provoking piece of dance.
