National Medical Fitness Week 💪🏾 Day 1 - #pinchamayurasana or Forearm Stand I thought a video would be more beneficial to exhibit the transition of active muscle engagement. Dolphin requires strong ab & hip flexors, & lengthened leg & trunk extensors. In forearm stand the extensors need to act in synergy w/ the flexors (Engage the entire body as you would in plank). The scorpion tail require extensors to be active & flexors to be passive. Fitness Flow! Do not do this flow if you have any shoulder issues / back problems / medical dx prohibiting inversion. #medicalfitness #yogateacher #dptstudent

E-stim day II. Maybe w/ enough electrodes I can become a cyborg? 🤖 Used for pain reduction & muscle fiber recruitment. I've been reducing standing back bends due to Low Back Pain (LBP) for a few weeks. "Isn't yoga supposed to bring relaxation & pain-free living?" Yes, but yoga injuries happen. They are excruciating. I've been doing manual therapy on my SI, strengthening my glutes, but E-stim has helped me w/ any residual pain.
