Im Clancy, im not a DA, or an Irl. I'm a fictive in a D.I.D system I sign off with "Clancy talks" or 🚫

HELLO I COULD USE SOME HELP IF I MAY ASK

TLDR; Ya boy is moving in 3 days and I need to help my dad cover a few of our costs for going through with the move; mainly gas and food and at least a little bit of the hotels we're staying at since he's 60 and can't drive too long each day (I cannot drive due to my medication as well as my mental health).

I need around $150 and I'm hoping to get it by the end of this week, as I'm moving so soon. It's pretty short notice though, but I am doing what I can!

Wait but in my Nova Bishop timeline what's stopping me from becoming the next Listo?

What is stopping me from overseeing the District I was once trapped in, now with the idea that no one could get out no matter how hard they fought? If I lied to them and myself by saying anywhere beyond the walls I've cultivated is dangerous because there is failure out there. Cycles repeat and you cannot break them, so don't try anymore. Just relax and be safe in the place I've always felt part of.

Oh sure they'll feel as sad and trapped as I did, but, they won't know hunger. They won't know what it's like to have something as beautiful as Trench shown to them only to have it taken away by the people they thought they loved.

Meticulously planning out streets and designing strange walkways for pattern and design, not for practicality. Making sure food can be plentiful and easy to access. Watching with concern and disappointment in the shadows when I watch another stray too close to my borders.

I would understand, then, why Listo did what he did. And why I had to continue it in the cycle too.

got myself thinking about it last night so. some dema-isms and idioms. i highly encourage y'all to add on, these are very fun to come up with

are you seized right now? - used for wildly out of character/strange behavior, basically means "what the HELL are you doing?"

knocking on neon gravestones - asking for trouble/a variation on "knocking on the devil's door"

were you raised in trench? - commenting on bad manners/a variation on "were you raised by wolves/in a barn?"

they're not dead yet - used for people who have (usually suddenly) thrown themselves full force into vialism. somewhat derogatory, it's sort of a way to call someone performative and imply that the motivations for their sudden faith are less than pure

is the city walled? - a response for when someone asks a very obvious question

go scale the walls - "go to hell"/"fuck off"

you're not wearing any yellow - a response when someone is being critical of dema/the bishops/vialism, a sort of "watch your tongue". largely exclusive to people already on the outskirts of rebellion, and failed/former escapees

preaching to neon gravestones - "preaching to the choir"

hiding an fpe badge - an insult, used to imply a lack of shame
