First issue in and it’s an effective setup with an artist who definitely thinks car design peaked in the 80s.
Trakker is kind of what I expected from what little has been shown of him in other stories. Namely -
“I don’t need the government. I’m goddamn Matt Trakker.” I also know people probably appreciate him clowning on General Flagg, since so far only Destro has been able to get any leverage on the guy. At the same time, I’m pretty sure the reason Flagg went with Mayhem was because he thought Trakker was just that damn smug, and now he regrets it.
Admittedly the guy I was more worried about was Miles Mayhem. How do you update a generic leader guy when the EU has fiction’s definitive evil organization leader in Cobra Commander?
Turn him into Dale Gribble apparently.
Miles is a nutso conspiracy theorist, which is quite a way removed from the cool, calm Commander. And this was important.
