“Nope, nothing at all. I love lazy days more than anything.” She said with a small laugh before nodding her head. “Yes exactly. If you want we can figure out something to do.”
“Mmhm. It’s really the best. You get to know a lot about people when they don’t know you’re watching them” She laughs a bit before listening and nodding his head. “Wow. .. you had some life.”
“It is devastating. . . and a waste of money.” She said a small giggle leaving her lips before she shrugging her shoulders. “No not really. Just kinda. . . hanging out. Going to the barn. . . doing absolutely nothing. I love it.”
“It really does. . . it’s such a waste when you drop it.” She said with a small pout before laughing a bit. “Oh yeah. Some can be a big pain. . . but you just gotta find the loophole to get around them.”
She shrugged and then shook her head, “Honestly. . . nothing. I should be working on work stuff but I’m really not feeling it. . . so I just came out here to people watch.”
“Feisty, huh? And why exactly do you feel particularly feisty at this moment?” He asked, curiously.
Clara shrugged and shook her head, “No particular reason. . . just feeling it currently.” She laughed faintly with a small smile. “I can tone it down though. No more idioms.”
Zahir laughed softly before shaking his head. “Do you always speak in idioms or… is it just a phase or something?”
Clara shrugged and smirked, “Wouldn’t you like to know?” She said before laughing a bit, "But no I only speak in them when I feel a bit feisty."
“That’s true. . . that’s very true. . . but I won’t lie. .. I’ve done that before. . . I just do it in my house, where I know the floors are clean.” She said with a small laugh and then a nod of her head, “Yes and everyone knows I hate enforcing rules!”
“As much as I want do that, I’m not all that good with confronting people like that.” Zahir admitted. “I mean… it’s a work in progress. I can try to sit her down and talk but then she’ll try to play the sympathy card on me and I don’t want to have to hear her sob story.”
“Well then I’m afraid Z you’re kinda up the crick without a paddle. You might be stuck with her forever.” Clara laughed faintly and shook her head, “Or just bite the bullet.”
“Yeah but honestly I don’t know if I wanna go. . . I’m not feeling very active today.” Clara laughed a little before shrugging. “I’m sure we’ll both figure out our day eventually.”
“That’s very true. . . and that’s all I want to do is just blend in.” She admits before laughing a bit and nodding, “I can relate. . . but no uh. . . I don’t have much planned today. I was gonna go take a job then maybe go to the barn.”
“I wouldn’t either. .. I mean for how quiet this town is. . I don’t know how half this town is still sane.” Clara said again with another laugh. “So what are you up to today Len?”
Clara laughed a bit more before shaking her head, “I can’t either. I just couldn’t help myself, if I’m being honest.” She said before laughing a bit more. “I think we might both be loopy today.”
“No chips left behind!” Clara giggled a bit before shaking her head and smiling wide. “I am too. I think it would have been sad if I didn’t eat it anyway. Just left there to rot on the ground instead of in my belly with friends.”
Clara laughed softly and gave a nod of her head, “Exactly. I don’t know what I’d do without them. It’s just a little embarrassing to get caught doing that.”
“I don’t have the time or energy to find another receptionist right now… but at this point, I really need her to be much more competent with her job.”
“Well maybe instead you need to sit down and talk with her. Tell her exactly what she’s doing wrong and if she doesn’t get her shit together she’s gonna have to look for a new job. . . that way you have time to figure out what you need and she has a chance to get better.”
