BREAKING NEWS! BBC AMERICA REVEAL MAISIE WILLIAMS AS DOCTOR WHO GUEST STAR-

On her first day on set, Maisie Williams said:

“I’m so excited to be working on Doctor Who as it’s such a big and important part of British Culture. I can’t wait to meet the cast and crew and start filming, especially as we’ll be shooting not too far from my home town.”

Steven Moffat, lead writer and Executive Producer, added:

“We’re thrilled to have Maisie Williams joining us on Doctor Who. It’s not possible to say too much about who or what she’s playing, but she is going to challenge the Doctor in very unexpected ways. This time he might just be out of his depth, and we know Maisie is going to give him exactly the right sort of hell.”

…as for Doctor Two… well, his clothes regenerated with him! No, it’s true, he just woke up in a new outfit. And stop for a moment, really think about that. No-one’s properly worried about this, except me. I’ve lain awake at night, I’ve fretted. The First Doctor’s clothes regenerated into the Second Doctor’s clothes. What does that mean?! I regret to inform you there is only one possible explanation - throughout his first two incarnations the Doctor’s clothes were an organic extension of himself: strategically placed flesh flaps, with the appearance of coloured fabric. This, and only this, can explain their regenerating abilities. Deal with this, fandom - throughout the 1960s, Doctor Who was naked!! Oh, but the horror doesn’t end there. The freshly regenerated Third Doctor arrived on Earth and collapsed. Next thing we saw, he was waking up in bed in a night shirt. Oh, dead Lord, what savagery did we miss? The nurses must have wondered why this strange man screamed in pain as they cut his clothes from him…
