A few of the tweets for Wes ❤️
Added some more.
On the day I was born my mother dreamt Freddy Krueger was chasing her through the halls of the hospital. A Nightmare on Elm Street would later become the first R-rated movie I was allowed to watch. In third grade I would go on to tell my peers at a birthday party that my favorite actress was Heather Langenkamp, of course nobody knew who I was talking about seeing that we were in third grade and the film is five years older than myself. My sister and I watched People Under the Stairs over and over, to this day we still quote it, “CHILDREN MISBEHAVING IN THE BASEMENT!” Then of course there was Scream. It was the first day of Junior High and my entire binder cover was a love note to Sydney Prescott and the other side featured Ghost Face. My mom took me to the opening day of Scream 3 and it was a bitter moment when she explained the concept of a trilogy, but Scream 4 came anyway and we went to the theaters and were not dissapointed. Wes Craven had a way of blending horror and snark comedy in a style I’ve yet to see replicated. A college professor turned horror director who made an incredible impact on the genre in the time he spent working with it. I came back into cell phone service today after a weekend camping trip and learned of his passing and I wont lie to anybody right now and tell you I wasn’t in tears. Wes Craven was a master of horror to say the least and his films will remain in our nightmares for many many years to come, he is immortalized in this work. Thank you Wes, may you rest well.

40 years!
A special happy birthday to my all time favorite movie! 40 years ago today the summer blockbuster chomped its way into existence and changed cinema for ever! A sincere thanks to John Williams and Steven Spielberg.
