Nothing will change what has happened, but you can invest your time in changing your tomorrow. Forgiveness is a cure. I think will stay with Forgiveness the rest of this week. (at Los Angeles, California)

ROUTINES- you can get rid of!
Think about all the things you tell yourself you need to spend money on daily, now think, have you lived through a day without it before? This is how to break routine and live free.
Some routines are harder to break than others. Here are some routines I’ve been able to break in order of difficulty.
Smoking cigarettes #1 in my Morpheus voice “for 10 years I smoked cigarettes! FOR 10 YEARS I woke up every morning sucking fire into my lungs! FOR 10 YEARS I woke up coughing up brown phlegm.” Smokers you know! At some point it wasn’t even the nicotine as much as it was an oral fixation and a nervous response. I couldn’t walk anywhere without lighting up. I am down to 3mg nicotine in my Vape and it is next to go!
Starbucks - not even coffee- I was addicted to the process of ordering coffee and then ingesting it. I was down to just an americano ( espresso and water) no flavor. BLECK! Right?
Corner store sweets- aint nothing wrong with a snack every then and again. Its not healthy to totally deny basic elements like sugar if there isn’t a medical need i.e diabetes, arthritis. Everything in moderation, but I’m far more inclined to have a smoothie when I need something “sweet”. Also, you’ll catch me with brown sugar or cane sugar and now, agave nectar.
Laying down just these three has put money back in my pocket, removed sinus issues I suffered from (doctors swore I had asthma and needed an inhaler), and allows me a clean temple in which to grow my soul.
Take that first step! #shineon
How I made fried rice, for the first time!
Time to share - fried rice is easy.
Cook you some rice, however you make it. I used my pressure cooker because its rice in 6 minutes. Remember to season your rice tho. Water will dilute some of what you put in, don’t over due it but be generous.
Let that rice sit baby. Throw it in the fridge if you must but remove it from the heating vessel and let it cool before you shock it in the cold of the fridge. (This also protects the other food in the fridge and cuts down on the amount of energy the fridge uses to compensate for the hot food you added. You’re welcome)
Get yo WOK pot out, or large skillet. The WOK has more real estate or surface area thats heated but any large skillet will work too. Dice you some green onion - i used cilantro as well (basil fried rice is my restaurant favorite). I don’t eat a lot of vegetables but this is the time to prepare them if you like. Bean sprouts, broccoli, cauliflower, BASIL.
Get you some medium heat going on that young WOK. Key key key ingredient - sesame seed oil. Had to cop some from Target - simply balanced brand 3.99 got that cartwheel discount and red card discount. Im sure depending on where you are, you can do better price and quality. Convenience won this battle. Go ahead and coat your WOK. This is no different from sautéed life, so use your judgement based on how much rice you’re preparing. Throw in tour veggies and go ahead and season them. Here I added ginger, basil, cayenne pepper, red pepper flakes, sea salt and freshly ground black pepper. White pepper would be amazing as well( just thought about that). Cook it down! Get everything coated and wilting. Now get that rice in there. Make sure your oil presence is still good. Lets toss this rice. You’ll notice the colors not quite right. Then enters Soy sauce. Low sodium if you must. I don’t cook with a lot of salt so, you know, if you need to limit salt go ahead and do so. Its alright, ya heard me?
The soy is going to make you feel like you did something right as your rice will start to instantly resemble restaurant purchased fried rice. If you’re an egger like me, go ahead and beat some egg in a bowl, slide your rice over in your vessel, and cook the egg in your open space. The key to fluffy egg is beating air bubbles in to the egg and then allowing even cooking. Move the egg only to allow uncooked egg to get some surface. Go ahead and incorporate all together. Stir stir stir, taste. Add what you feel is right, follow your heart.
As far as Im concerned, you’re done. If you’re feeling it, sprinkle some chopped green onion on top, but whatever you do- make sure you enjoy this meal you prepared for yourself. Cooking is a labor of love and who better for you to love than you!
Eat up- until next time
We win when we stand together.
