Important Notification on SMS price increase

At Classpro we always want to keep our customers informed and up to date on every aspect of our business as soon as possible. We consider your business important to us and we feel that we need to share that there has been a sudden and unprecedented escalation in SMS rates from all operators. The telecom operators have hiked the SMS rates by 10 to 15 times as compared to the previous rates. The new SMS rates will be 25 paise per SMS.

Below is the email we got from the SMSGupshup Service Provider.

As you may have heard, telecom operators have raised SMS rates effective this week. This in turn has led us to revise our rates which will cause us to deduct credits from your Enterprise accounts on Thursday 8 November, 2012. Due to increases in SMS rates by telecom operators and deduction of SMS credits from classpro's enterprise account, we must unfortunately deduct the SMS credits from your classpro account on 17 Nov. 2012. I would like to assure you that we are selling the SMS on the same rate we got from SMSGupshup.

We apologize unconditionally for being the bearer of this extremely unhappy news and the huge inconvenience this will obviously cause to you, but this announcement by operators was so sudden and price hike so steep and this situation was hopelessly beyond our control.

Role-Based Usage

On the application level, Classpro provides each user with a email and password that is immediately encrypted. Additionally, all access within Classpro.in is permission based.

Encryption

All communication between you and the classpro server is secured by usingSSL AES 256-bit encryption. This is the highest level of encryption currently available commercially.

Data Security

Classpro takes all measures to secure your data on our servers. Our servers are protected by using a firewall which is a hardware and software system that blocks access by unauthorized parties.

Confidentiality

Classpro has internal policies that keep your data private and confidential. We will not share your data with any third party. Your data is your data only.

Access to your account is controlled by a login ID and a password, which you chose. Strict login ID and password rules virtually eliminate the unauthorized user from gaining access. Your password is stored using a one-way hash key and verified using the same one-way hash every time you login, which meansno one at classpro knows what password you have chosen. If you ever forget your password, we force you to choose a new one using an email verification check.

Auto-Logoff

Classpro protects you against accidentally leaving your personal information active on a computer browser screen. The Classpro service ends your "session" if you are logged in to Classpro but have not actively used the service for a set period of time. This prevents others from accessing your account when you leave a session and forget to log out.

Role based Access

There are 3 types of users

- Admin

Admin is the account owner. The person signed up in classpro is assigned with "admin" role.

- Branch Admin

Admin can assign full access to a user for a branch/center by giving him "Branch Admin" role. This user has all access to data for the branch he is assigned.

- Staff

Admin can assign limited access to a user for a branch/center by giving him "Staff" role. This user has very limited access to data for the branch he is assigned.

Archive your data

"New financial year is starting and all the old batches, lectures, courses are completed. what do with those data?"

No need to worry. Instead of deleting old record, now you can archive your old data, so that thay won't appear in your new data.

This will help you to focus on the current students, admissions, lectures and tests.

Admin or Branch admin user can easily restore archived data through "Archives" menu.
