What tattoo(s) could you see my character getting/having?
Larry and Anna Moodboard @classytaur
Happy Holidays to my good friend Eve!
Awww, dude~ thanks!
"So, uh..." Larry coughed awkwardly. "There's this human custom, er, holiday, and um..." He shifted his weight, tail flicking. "They're doing this thing at the movie theater, and uh... Would you, maybe... You don't HAVE to, of course! But if you wanted, we could... go together?"
Anna tilted her head amused although a bit sheepish. A bright blush creeped onto her skin. âYou mean Valentineâs Day,â she laughed lightly, shuffling on her feet. âUm, why not it⊠it sounds very nice. To go out. With you,â she reached and pushed some of her hair behind her ear. âIs- is this like a date?â
classytaurâ:
âOh, I hope you have snacks and not snakes,â she giggled. She looked warmly at him as she settled down in the area he prepared. He was stressing so much. It was nice to know she wasnât the only one there. âIf you have popcorn or crisps I wonât say no to them.â she folded her hands in front of her, trying to not fiddle. Though her tail twitching a little was probably a giveaway.
He was blushing again, (had he ever stopped?) but smiled at her. Gods, she was adorable. He caught the tail twitches, and it calmed him a bit to think that maybe she was nervous, too.
âIâve got both, actually!â He put a popcorn bag in the microwave and went to get the chips. Heh. Crisps. She was so fancy. âDo you like Pringles or Lays?â
âPringles are okay!â she called from where she was. âWhat flavour?âÂ
Oh this was so domestic and cute. Just them, on a date. About to watch a movie and eat snacks and then maybe sheâd move closer to him and heâd wrap his arm around her and then their eyes will lock and thentheywillleanforwardandtherewillbekissing!!! Suddenly her brain went to full stop as her face heated up and she looked down at her hands. Gosh!Â
âUm, can I also get some water???â she asked deciding she needed to cool off, really quickly.
Anna: "Go Back to Sleep"
Larry glanced at his first message. [Why dont they mak horses ware clothes if we havto wear clothes?]Yeah, maybe he shouldnât be texting at this time of night. He was too tired to fully process this fact, unfortunately.
[Like, ifit offend them so much, why not cloths]
classytaurâ:
She paused in her tracks watching him keenly. She tapped her finger over her lips thinking. Then she looked at him. âYou know I donât care how much you earn or donât right? Itâs not why Iâm here,â she said slowly then sighed. âUsually people take advantage of the fact how rich I am and you donât. I know that⊠Iâm not the easiest to be around with, well our differences, but Iâm trying to help you, you know? We could go shopping into Ikea, I wouldnât mind. I mean that would be fun too, right?â
Larry was turning approximately five different shades of red at once. âI- I do know thatâŠâ he mumbled, staring hard at the pavement.
Until she got to the part about her being hard to be around; he looked at her in surprise then.
ââŠThat would be perfectly fine, Anna.â Larry took her hand and squeezed it reassuringly. Bold, perhaps, but his thoughts were preoccupied with making her feel better. ââŠFor the record, you are a complete joy to be around. Iâm honored you tolerate me.â He gave a shy laugh. ââŠI just⊠care about your opinion of me, and my situation is so far below yours, I⊠I donât mind that youâre rich, Anna. I just⊠donât know how to impress you.â His eyes were vulnerable and very honest.
Her smile softened at his compliment. âOh, stop it you silly,â she leaned and kissed his cheek. âI told you, I donât care that much about your station. And you already did impress me.â She went to stand in front of him taking his hands. âYouâre brave and with valiant heart. You helped me when I was a stranger, not to mention a very rude stranger,â she recalled their first meeting. âIf you want to impress me - itâs the little things, you know. I already have and can buy things myself but I canât buy your kindness. Going with me to places and listening to me, involving me in your life... plus Iâm pretty sure there are things you can do and I canât.â She played with his fingers in her hands. âOkay? Letâs go to Ikea then. I have never really been there! Itâs so common,â she said with delight.

Checking to make sure Kitty made it safely to the playground, Freya was a little distracted and only caught the latter end of Annaâs question. âHmm? Oh reading! Yes I love to read, usually non-fiction all about nature and whatnot.â She glanced at Larry, subtly letting him walk next to Anna on their way to the benches and grass bank near the playground.
@larrythecentaurâ
Not seeing Freyaâs intention, Larry automatically moved a little away from Anna out of nerves as they walked.
âUm, lately I havenât had a lot of time for reading, but, uh, Iâve been at the library whenever Iâve got time. Iâve got a lot to catch up on. What, uh, what Freya said, a lot of non-fiction.â
Now itâs your turn to talk, his brain nudged him. Biting his lip, he braced himself to ask, âW-what about you; what was the book about?â
@classytaurâ
@frecklesandspiceâ
Anna nodded along what they were saying. âAh, well I wanted to try something new actually but also something light so I did go to library too and the nice lady suggested that I read that sci-fi romance about a princess frozen in time and a man who becomes her paladin,â Anna said absolutely delighted that she could talk about that book. âThey were fighting evil empire. Itâs actually a series! Really gripping. I have 7 books left to read through. I started on the second one but itâs going a bit slow I hope it picks up later on. The paladin is so charming and princess is so brave and valiant!â She sighed dreamily. âFreya, would you recommend me something?â
"Your dress is beautiful."
âWhy thank you!â Anna turned her head startled by the woman then looked down on herself then back to the stranger. âThat so kind of you. I like your outfit too,â she said hanging the shirt she was looking at back to the rack.

âI am.â More than she could put into words, really, which isnât something out of the norm for Veda. Annaâs squeeze isnât met with much of a reaction, the centaur womanâs strength not what she would consider âmuchâ. Regardless, her smile is a fond one. âSeveral years. It is⊠still a bit of an adjustment, despite the time.â
Whether or not that was normal, she wasnât entirely certain. That it seemed to be was a relief.
âReally? Thatâs so nice,â she hummed, musing a little. âEveryone I know seems to have such nice marriages. I hope one day I will find someone so nice,â she sighed. âI hope you donât mind but⊠was your marriage planned or did you marry for love?â she inquired curiously.Â
âYou will.â Someday, at least, and Veda is entirely sincere in that. Annaâs question earns a gentle nod and equally gentle warm smile. âIt was for love, yes. Though there was some planning involved?â That part she was tripping over.
âOooh~â Anna cooed. âTrue love,â she squealed a little and sighed dreamily. âDid your parents arrange it? Did you meet as children and then your parents decided to have you married? How did it go? Wait, wait!â she was talking very quickly. âHow about! We go pay for out items and I can invite you for some coffee so you can tell me everything,â her hooves clip clopped over the floor as she almost bounced on her feet.
Seth had in part expected someone to ask what he was eating, whether out of curiosity or otherwise, but hearing a more familiar voice doing so has him surprised. Leaning his head back in order to see Anna's face, one of the crepes still halfway to his mouth and forcing him to eat it quickly before answering. 'Gujeolpan, um...' Realizing too late she probably wouldn't know the word, he's rushing to find a way to explain, something to compare it to.
He was right. Anna had no idea what that was but a look at the plate gave her an idea of what was in it. âWhatâs this?â She signed pointing at each of the items. âHow do you eat that?â It looked like there was a lot of work put into it too. Kind of fancy.Â

Anna couldnât help but glare a little. He knew, didnât he? And he was making fun of her! Her brows furrowed and lips turned into thin line (once she swallowed the dumplings).Â
âYouâre an awful person but thank you,â she huffed a little signing back at him. âLet me know when you establish something regarding hours.â
âI am?â Seth signs back rapidly while trying to hide a grin. âIâll make sure to let you know.â As if he was going to pass up the chance for that little bit of meddling; judging by the blush on her face and the glaring Larryâs feelings were mutual, or so he hoped.
With a huff she was ready to retort but that never came. Suddenly her phone rang and she had to pick it up. Switching from English to her native language Anna had a quick conversation. When she hung up she had a bit of a disappointed face. âI need to be going.â She sighed and started to pack her stuff showing one last dumpling into her face. âText me,â she told Seth and made the âIâm-watching-youâ gesture, letting him know he was not off the hook with his meddling. Not that she minded that too much. In fact... it was helpful. But not like she was going to admit it!

Annaâs sudden blush makes it that much harder for Seth to keep from grinning, thankfully managing to keep himself from laughing.
âDunno, why would I?â he asks, the look on his face an attempt at sly that even Seth realizes is failing. âIâll have to ask if he wants another group study session.â It would help Seth too really, if he actually showed up and wasnât deliberately late that was.

She watched him eat with slight anticipation, then there was a smile of success when she saw the positive reaction from him. âIs it good?â she asked, knowing full well that he liked it.Â
âI think so? I donât usually eat this sort of thing.â He was glad that he had tried it, regardless, and Seth finishes off that response with a thumbs up and a grin to make it less potentially ambiguous.
That was an acceptable answer and she nodded happily. Still her eyes began to wander around the cafeteria, looking for Larry. It wasnât like she could just keep pestering Seth every 5 minutes if his friend had replied. She fidgeted. Then twitched.Â
âSo any plans for more study sessions?â She asked offhandedly.
Seth pauses, swallowing the bite he had in his mouth even though it wasnât necessary for him to be able to answer. âLarry does have a test coming upâŠâ he half-muses, deliberately fishing for a reaction from Anna with a grin he was trying to hide.
She blushes furiously red (not a hard thing with her pale complexion).Â
âI didnât-! Why would you-?â she laughs nervously trying to cover her unease. Then she stuffs her face with a dumpling. âFy wold I afk,â swallow, âabout Larry? I just, you know, I also have some tests, yes?â she twirls the lid of the container she carried the dumplings in, in her hands.

âI⊠suppose?â Though Veda had little personal experience with anything similar, it was all too easy to have passing knowledge of the subject.
Annaâs question earns the centaur a gentle smile. âVeda. Veda Shâ Mirak. And yours is?â Correcting herself while thinking that over, the fact that she hadnât asked earlier is something of an oversight, but hopefully not one that would seem more rude than she had meant it to be.
âIâm Anna Freyna,â she offered her hand in a handshake to the woman. âIâm guessing you were recently married?â She chuckled. âI caught your slip, my sister had similar problem. Itâs okay.â She reassured Veda.Â
âNot that recently, but it is still a change I am getting used to,â Veda explains with an easy smile. When she accepts Annaâs offered handshake, her grip is deliberately loose out of habit. âIt is normal, then?â
âCongratulations! Iâm sure you must be happy!â Anna squeezed Vedaâs hand shaking it and smiling all cheerful. âOh it is! My sister said that sometimes she needs a new set of documents to sign because she keeps using her old name. Even me and my siblings sometimes forget. Itâs a natural transition.â she explained with a light giggle. âHow long have you been married?â

He actually looks disappointed at the mention of them being sweet. Seth is still determined to go through with trying them regardless, the smell wafting up with the steam more appetizing than he expected.
âHow sweet?â he asks carefully regardless around the fork, eyeing the rolls warily as he speaks.
âI mean they are sweet-ish? Thereâs some sugar in them but itâs not like I dumped entire bag in that, just like a table spoon and a half,â she explained. She pushed the box with dumblings a bit closer to him. âthe shell is made out of potatoes then fried, they are a mix of sweet and savoury. Come on give it a try,â she encouraged.
The savory thankfully pushes his decision toward the positive and Seth gives in without much fight. âAlright,â is easy enough to sign, and heâs trying one of the dumplings not long after.
That they werenât overly sweet helps quite a bit in his opinion of how they taste, a look of somewhat pleased surprise on his face.
