// OOC POST //
Hello all!
I’ve been getting anon asks about where Monet is and if he’s okay, so I wanted to give anyone who’s interested a quick update.
Life has me super busy at the moment, and with my internship for school starting soon, I expect it’ll be even more difficult to come here as regularly as before. Also, the roleplay group I previously wrote with has grown quiet due to all the people being busy with their own lives.
I’ve decided to make Monet’s (and most of my other characters) blog an appreciate account - artwork, quotes, articles, etc… I still write privately with Scott’s mod (also the mod of many other accounts) so when I can, I’ll post updates about their lives and how things are going. If the roleplay group decides to return, I’ll definitely interact with them, but I can’t promise it’ll be regular posting though.
This Monet account was originally started because of a story commission, and I use roleplaying as a way to get a feel for the character and their mannerisms. I’ve been considering an ongoing fanfic for Monet and a few others as a way to keep my writing skills sharp, so if anyone is interested, I’ll post a link to the stories as soon as I get it set up.
Thank you everyone for your support and interest, I appreciate you all!

Claude Monet’s Birthday
Happy Birthday to Claude Monet, born #onthisday in Paris in 1840 🎨 Monet was one of the founders of French Impressionist painting and exhibited in most of the Impressionist exhibitions. The name of the movement was actually inspired by his painting ‘Impressionism, soleil levant’ or 'Impressionism, sunrise’. Monet’s ambition in his art often led him to paint the same scene many times in order to capture the changing of light and the passing of seasons. He was also known for painting from nature, or 'en plein air’, constantly searching for ways to improve his methods and capture the effects of light and reflections. 'Windmill at Zaandam’, by Claude Monet c. 1871.
Happy birthday to Claude Monet, born on this day in 1840. Often called the Father of Impressionism, Monet inspired the term that defined this movement. Born in Paris, Monet would later live Giverny, where he purchased a property, planted sprawling gardens, and painted his famous water lilies.
