Presenting a project I immediately started as soon as Luxury Party Pack came out: De-sparkled, de-striped suits!

It’s totally cool if people like the sparkly suits that Maxis gave us, but the truth is that I was bummed out that we didn’t get any normal flat-colored swatches along with the crazy ones.

Thankfully, somewhere in the game’s files, there are (mostly) flat textures for the suits! They needed a little editing because the mesh’s specular had to be removed and the flat textures weren’t completely flat (striped lapels, anyone?) but after a little TLC in Photoshop, they came out pretty OK!

The suits come in 6 custom colors and are tagged for Everyday, Formal, and Party. They are enabled for Teen-Elder and should work with all LODs.

It should be base game compatible, but if it isn’t, lemme know.

Here’s another LPS fixer-upper in the male clothing department. Those tacky vests with the shiny vines on ‘em had to go. 7 flat recolors of the vest are included and they have been enabled for Teen-Elder stages. They are tagged as Everyday, Formal, and Party wear.

A promise to my followers

Once Sims3.scaffolding comes out, I promise you, I will go back to the sims 3 and once again be posting stories and images from it. Thats my promise to you.

Sims 4 is great but once this performance enhancing/lag reducing mod is out, the sims 3 vast amount of content will be an obvious winner in my book.

What’s that? Oh, just a crazy idea I had, expositioned in this NRaas Chatterbox discussion thread, whereby I floated the idea of creating a 64-bit ‘scaffolding’ to aggresively patch The Sims 3 in memory, by overriding libraries and system calls.

Purpose:

Fix the memory problem by moving…

Pretty sure this would tear me out of spiraling Gravity Well of The Sims 4 has me in and put me up for reentry into The Sims 3 Atmosphere. I can only hope this pans out. Fingers crossed, hearts towards the stars.
