I’m reading my first Rosekiller centric fic AND IT’S PURE PERFECTION. It’s Eat your love by andromeden (yes the same andromeden who wrote one my favorite jegulus fics pick your poison)
dumbledore and trisha paytas are soooo similar
I have this idea: Regulus leaves his parents’ house the moment he turns 18 and decides to move out of London. He used to have a brother, but they were both too proud and set in their own ways to stay in contact, he used to have friends, but he drove them away and he used to have a friend at the summer camp but they never exchanged numbers because he was too afraid of what his parents would say. He completely alienated everyone that could have helped him and even funnier is that he’s still too proud to reach out, so sure they would reject him. One day he has an accident and when he wakes up the world around seems a little strange. He has the feeling something is not quite right and it brothers him. And suddenly he gets it: why are the nurses wearing a dress with an apron? why are there no computers? And why is no one in this goddamn hospital on their phone? His head hurts and he’s sure he’s going to vomit if he doesn’t get out there right now. His phone survived the accident thank god and he tries to call someone. No line. Again. No line. Again, again, again. He’s calling random numbers he never contacts now and there is no line. Hell! He’s calling Sirius. That’s how desperate he is. He tries to search anything on google and it’s useless. It doesn’t work. He checks the date on a journal and it’s the fucking 1979. It takes him a whole day to accept this is not some sick joke. He’s homeless now and he’s in the past like it happens in those awful films his brother’s best friend loves. Eventually he’ll find out there are no Blacks here. He looks for any kind of familiarity, maybe there lies the solution to his situation. It’s all in vain though because there is no trace of his family or the Potters, the Rosiers, the Crouches or the Meadows where he knows there should be. He knows Evan’s grandparents used to live in Mayfair during the seventies and Dorcas’ grandparents owned a boutique in that same area. But it’s like they never existed at all. The months pass and he has to come to terms with the fact that he went back in time in a world where his family and his friends’ families don’t exist. It’s been two years and some days he forgets where he comes from, it’s just his reality. He doesn’t have the right to complain, he had lived isolated from anyone who ever loved him right before the accident, it doesn’t make a difference at the end of the day and if some mornings he wakes up chocking on regret, then no one will ever know anyway. Except…he hears a crash and a baby’s cries near the alley just when he was about to walk away. That’s when he’ll see someone he thought he had left behind in another life: Lily, his summer camp friend, and oddly enough a baby with her eyes. Lily wakes up in a hospital with a piece of paper in her hand that reads “I know you’re confused, but stay calm and I’ll explain everything once you’re good to go. The baby is alright, I told the doctors I’m his uncle so he’s with me. Don’t worry I’ll guard him with my life. Trust me one more time. Love, RAB”. She doesn’t recognise the handwriting, has no idea who RAB is and more importantly why should she trust them with her son in the middle of a war.
Turns out Regulus was wrong. His family and his friends’ families exist here, he used to exist here, just as a wizard. They’re all wizards. And as if he hasn’t seen enough madness already, then apparently his drawings and sketches of a villain he created when he was a bored middle schooler are the key to stop the wizarding war.
(Yeah Regulus was artsy kid who created an evil OC when he was a child and expanded the lore over the years. Lily looks at his portfolio and is like wtf is you-know-who in there if you’re a muggle?. Regulus “??? That’s just Voldemort, my OC. How do you 🫵🏻 know about him if we aren’t friends in this world??? So yeah he knows all about the horcruxes and Voldemort’s backstory because HE created it. NEVER underestimate the power of an artsy kid. And if you all want to know YES wizard!Regulus ended up in the other dimension)
in the come and go room
I love how "Sinners" didn't villify the sinners in the movie. Sammie's father told him that playing music for "drunkards and philanderers who abandon their family responbilities to sweat all over each other" was a sin. And he was right about the kind of people going to the juke joint: Delta Slim is an alcoholic, and Pearline a cheater. It would have been easy to villify them, but the movie tells us that despite their flaws, they are humans worthy of love, respect and freedom.
Delta Slim drinks because he's traumatized by the horrors Black people of his time face. And he's kind and compassionate, encouraging and reassuring Sammie, and sacrificing himself to save everyone else.
Pearline literally saved Sammie's life and sacrificed herself to protect him, a boy she had only known for a day. It shows her kindness because she could have easily stayed back when Remmick tried to bite Sammy and not endangered her life more than necessary.
The movie shows us that preachers blindly condemning those sinners are wrong: Sammie is only alive because drunkards, philanderers and gangsters (Smoke) gave their lives to protect him. They are people, with flaws and qualities.
I love how nuanced the movie is: Sammie's father is not wrong about the kind of people Sammie wants to associate with and their potential bad influence, but he's wrong about them being evil and not deserving of respect.
I think it’s also very important to remember that they didn’t just save Sammie, but the entire town too. The sinners saved everyone, they sacrificed themselves and no one will ever know
i really love this genre of image
The best part of that video is that the owner found the ORIGINAL plush later on the beach and took another video with it after their grandmother stitched it back up
I love the death grip after the toy was fixed up. Lessons were learned. Try to steal it this time you fucking bird. I dare you.
I think it’s a perfect time to recommend one of my favorite fics. Do you know the old “harry ends up in a perfect world” trope? This fic on ao3 has the opposite concept… kind of
AND IT’S AMAZING!!! Albus IS from another dimension that’s slightly different from the one Harry lives (just a few details are different) AND comes from the future ofc, but he has to pretend to be a dimension traveller only… so yeah he’s forced to be other-Harry and it’s source of so much conflict. Harry HATES him because he sees him as “the better version” and it’s heartbreaking. Albus is NOT having a good time either

Pandora teaching Lily how to crochet because it's a cute couples activity they can do together only to find out Lily has never been relaxed once in her life and won't have fun unless her project comes out perfect
sometimes when i want to feel really crazy about mary and neil i think about that part of the ec where neil says he wouldnt give up the life he has now for his mother and bee says she doesnt think mary would ever ask him to bcus mary only ever wanted him to be safe and its just so.
like often when people talk about how mary would react to neil's life if she were still alive its heavily negative with her being violent or her hating the decisions he's made but can you imagine the relief mary would've felt to see that her son is vibrantly alive and in love and free in a way that she had only seen previously when he was on little league courts. like despite it all this is still mary who only ever smiled while watching him play :(
If the Black brothers were Italian they’d be from Urbino
pandora who is the witch of the village and lily who is the daughter of the pastor ohh lily evans with religious guilt plss walk with me !!!

I’m reading this pjo au and it’s so good, the plot is very original!! I was vibing and suddenly TOM RIDDLE IS THERE
I’m literally trying to get through the screen to tell them that tom is dangerous and he’ll be a threat but they can’t hear me 🫠
Luca Ponsato - Does Anyone See My Suffering
I can’t stand people who hate Albus because yeah he’s an asshole but you’re forgetting the very important fact that you’re seeing him at his absolute lowest point. His reactions don’t come out of nowhere, he’s a bullied kid who’s constantly ignored of course he’s going to lash out HE’S TRYING TO GET NOTICED (let’s be honest Harry didn’t want to deal with it, he was being so avoidant)
