Estos son los talleres de intercambio de Saberes que se hicieron en Don Juan Xido, -la isla- durante este último año empezando en diciembre del 2021 Les comparto una partecita de todo este año. Toda la indicación fue “observar” Y de la observación, compartir nuestra identidad, nuestros “destinos”, las manifestaciones del lugar, nuestros encuentros; narraciones visuales. Me siento muy agradecida de poder estar con los niños de esta ranchería, en donde el misterio y el milagro se con-jugan, y muchas otras dimensiones. ¡ Queridos! Les comparto con mucha emoción la invitación a la Expo Individual en la que mostrare Los Ensueños de la vida y de Don Juan, Xido - “la isla” donde habitó hace 3 años frente a la presa Allende en Guanajuato- Son los dos últimos años de mi trabajo pero sobre todo del año en curso. Va de lo que me toca ser testigo. Y a veces siento que me gana; porqué lo que aquí pasa, transpasa y cada instante, siempre es demasiado. No me da tiempo de pintarlo todo y me apabulla la belleza constante. Por eso los grandes introspectivos y exploradores, hablan tanto del desierto. Este es un semi-desierto, lleno de misterio. Feathers, Form and Function: New Cut Feather Artwork by Chris Maynard

Using a small scalpel as his primary tool, artist Chris Maynard (previously) carves artwork out of feathers giving them new life on a canvas. “Each feather, though dead and discarded, keeps something of the bird’s essence,” Maynard tells us. Indeed, the colorful and sometimes humorous creations highlight the feather’s beauty but also encourages us to ponder the life of its previous owner. “Since I work mostly with shed feathers, some of the birds that grew them are likely still living,” adds Maynard.
