@clawedwaffle
yesterday I drew a fox
making an armillary sphere. I have made a first version out of wood, this is an updated version. The third version I will attempt to make more elegant. Then I will start thinking about material selection. These intermediary versions are lasercut from a 4mm mdf plate, if anybody wants one it can be arranged
Built it, it’s not very precise. Now that the cutting pattern is made I have as many as I want.

I am trying to embroider capucines on a piece of jean, the ride has been long: after I finished painstakingly applying the first colour I tried to iron the results. But I forgot to put a moist cloth between it and the iron and I melted my threads. I made an ugly stain and had to repair them, we can still see the traces now. I contemplated throwing it away but I’m mid exams so I didn’t want to lose too much time. Also I’m a beginner so I’ll allow myself mistakes.
I have now started applying the second colour, so you can have an evolution in the pictures
I have done the first layer of the stems, I will ad a second (dark red) one because capucines have red-ish stems (luckily it is quite irregular). Once this is done I will add the leaves. It takes a lot of time because I work on it from time to time when I want to
any opinion on the red accents in the stems? should I rip them out? should I put more? Are they good as is?
I started making leaves
I ripped out the red in the stems and added a few more leaves. I need to search a solution to make the one I’m doing now paler because it’s flipped over (we’re seeing the underside here)
finished the base layer for the leaves, now I’ll make the veins in light green, and I’ll need to find a solution for the leaf that’s supposed to have it’s back at us; I want to make it look paler because we’re seeing it’s underside. Once the leaves are done I’ll finish the flowers

update on the duck
It’s more or less done, the ligger hole must be enlarged a bit to allow the allan key to pass, I want to polish it some more and then it will be reday
The duck is done, I waxed it, on the last picture you can see the grain of the rosewood. It could be better, but since I’m not an experienced sculptor I consider it adequate.

I have pruned a rose bush and gotten a fat piece of dead rose wood. I decided I would sculpt a duck head into it and fix the broken blade of my first epee because I want to keep the broken blade of my first epee without having an ugly object lying around like the broken blade of my first epee… so here is the duck as it is now. I have already mounted the broken blade of my first foil on an ugly piece of elder wood (badly done, will redo it when I have time).
will update later

One of my favorite hobbies is thinking about the fucked up implications of this fantasy world map my parents got me for christmas
[Image ID: photo of a map. On the left side of the map is Middle Earth, with the Shire and Mordor labeled. To the direct right of Mordor is Whoville.]
I FOUND THE FULL ONE AND ITS SO MUCH MORE CHAOTIC.

The existence of Oz and Neverland is wild too. Does this mean that there is a REAL Earth outside of this? Could Wendy hang out in Westeros?

discovered you with this, love your comic
I was biking at night when my shoelace got tied up in the cogs (is that how you say it?). I had to stop and fumbled to untie it without having to put down all my stuff under the rain. When I was done untying it I started retying it, but this elderly couple stopped and the lady did my shoelaces in my stead. I thanked them (off course), but her knot must have been the worst shoeknot I ever saw; there was a long dangly bit hanging halfway to the ground (from the pedal up) and the knot was triply tied to make sure it would not undo…
I am sewing a beret for my sisters birthday, and genius me thought it would be a good idea to embroider a line while I never did any embroidery before… I can see how irregular my line is and I hate that it’s just bad enough to make me mad, but good enough that I won’t redo everything. If anyone has any advice I will take it (only thing I have done that you can’t see here is make a full scratch beret, with a golden line this time. It had a lot of clear issues that I try to remedy here
